"To give real service, you must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money - and that is sincerity and integrity." I have been practicing real estate in North Carolina since 2015, having relocated with my family from New Jersey that same year. I understand how many moving parts there are in making such a big move and I am able to guide my clients by drawing on my own experiences. I am currently a team lead, certified mentor, certified relocation expert, have earned my RSPS (Resort & Second-Home Property Specialist) designation and have worked with hundreds of buyers and sellers in North Carolina to successfully purchase and sell their properties. My business has become and continues to be 100% referral based which is a goal only achieved through relationship building and dedication. I am an expert in new home construction/sales, having represented both builder and buyer in many different communities. I believe my job is to take the "stress" out of the buying/selling process and provide a relaxed experience to make my clients feel comfortable all the way to the closing table. Today, I live in the "Seafood Capital of the World" - Calabash, NC with my husband and I am a mom of four with my youngest now attending UNCW. I am also a proud rescue Mom of three rambunctious pups. I am licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina for those clients that love the coast but are not really sure they want to be just yet. I am an avid walker, book enthusiast, and enjoy boating, shelling and dining out. SC or NC... I would love the opportunity to work with your referrals.

FAQ
1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
To find a real estate agent you love, can get along with and laugh with. The home buying process can be stressful at times and it helps to have an agent who is knowledgeable about recent trends in the market, one that you can trust and one that can help take the stress out of a situation.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Listen to your real estate agent! A good agent will know what your home is going to sell for and can back it up with recent activity in the market. There are only two reasons a home doesn't sell. One is price and the other is condition. A good real estate agent can evaluate both before helping you price your home. Find an agent that does professional photographs! The photos are the most important tool you have to draw buyers to your home. And I have seen some really bad, bad photos. Photos really are THAT important!
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
I am a team lead for a small team and we have worked with all sorts of clients over the years. First time home buyers, empty nesters, people relocating from as far away as North Africa. We handle a lot of new construction from picking the perfect lot to final walk through. Sellers who are moving up from their starter homes and those that have needs that have changed as their family circumstances have changed.
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
Helping a client with a new build is a long process but extremely rewarding. One day we are standing in the middle of a bunch of dirt looking at land and trying to envision what it will become and a few months down the road we are celebrating with our clients as they are getting the keys to their dream home. There really is no feeling quite like it.
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
I've always been interested in Real Estate. It wasn't until we bought our home here in North Carolina that I finally realized that this is what I was always supposed to do. I wouldn't trade it for anything - there is no better feeling in the world than to know you played a part in making a dream come true.
6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I have a background in Finance which helps me to understand the numbers behind the sale. I've also worked with families
for a good part of my life and understand how important that dynamic is as well.

We worked with Lana to purchase our first home and really can't say enough good things about her. She is knowledgeable, approachable, personable, endlessly patient, and incredibly generous with her time (including mornings, evenings, and weekends over the course of several months). She answered every question and explained every form and every part of the process clearly and thoroughly. Lana made it as painless and straightforward as possible. We highly recommend her.

Lana is the most thorough realtor I've ever worked with! Even better, she's the most down-to-earth,"real" person you'll ever meet. Her response time to all of my communication was unbelievably fast, and she worked around my impossible schedule as if I was her most important client. I never hesitate to refer her to anyone and can only hope to be able to use her in the future with our next home! On a scale of 1 to 10, I give her 100!
