Kimberly Ritter

Q: 1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?

In today’s Mount Pleasant and Charleston market, my advice is to be prepared and move quickly. Inventory can be competitive, especially for waterfront and luxury homes, so having the best Realtor in Mount Pleasant, SC on your side makes all the difference. I guide buyers through pre-approval, market trends, and negotiations so they feel confident and secure in every step of the process.

Q: 2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?

My advice to sellers is simple: presentation and pricing are everything. In Mount Pleasant, buyers are willing to pay a premium for homes that are properly staged, marketed, and positioned in the right price range. As one of the top Realtors in Charleston County, I use advanced marketing strategies, professional photography, and proven negotiation skills to make sure sellers achieve the highest return possible.

Q: 3. What types of clients have you worked with?

Over the past 25+ years, I’ve worked with a wide range of clients, including first-time buyers, relocating families, waterfront property investors, and luxury homeowners. Many of my clients are drawn to Mount Pleasant’s lifestyle — from the beaches to historic Charleston — and they count on me as their trusted Realtor in Mount Pleasant, SC to guide them through these important decisions.

Q: 4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?

One of my favorite transactions involved helping a relocating family from out of state purchase a waterfront property in Mount Pleasant. They were nervous about buying sight-unseen, but through virtual tours, constant communication, and market insight, we closed smoothly. They’ve since referred me to several friends, which is the best compliment I can receive as a Realtor in Mount Pleasant.

Q: 5. How did you get started in Real Estate?

I started in real estate more than 25 years ago because I love helping families find their place in the Charleston area. Over time, my passion and dedication have led me to serve over 600 families and close $185M+ in sales, consistently ranking in the top 5–10% of Realtors in Charleston County. My experience is what allows me to provide the highest level of service to every client.

Q: 6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?

Yes. In addition to being a Broker Associate with Carolina One Real Estate, I hold advanced certifications including CRS, ABR, SRES, RSPS, CNE, PSA, HPS, and e-PRO. These designations mean I bring specialized expertise in everything from pricing strategy and negotiation to luxury and resort properties. Combined with my experience serving over 600 families, these credentials help ensure my clients receive the very best representation in Mount Pleasant and across Charleston County.

Kimberly Ritter is one of the most amazing realtors in the area! She listens to what you want in a home and she finds you multiple options. She makes the daunting task of buying a simple and straight forward. She supported me through the process including home inspection, follow-up and eventually closing. I had questions after we closed and she got back to me right away. She is extremely knowledgable about the market and puts her clients first. Thank you Kimberly!

I cannot recommend Kimberly Ritter and her team enough. As a first time home buyer the entire process seemed daunting but Kimberly articulated each step ensuring my family had all the information we needed to move forward. Even on our last day of visiting the area looking for a home she tirelessly searched for something within our budget and liking. Fortunately we did find a home but not without Kimberly and her teams help. The amazing thing is throughout the whole process Kimberly and her team made my family feel like it was a part of theirs and for that I am extremely grateful.

Kimberly Ritter came recommended to us by long-time residents of Charleston. She listened to our wants and needs and respected our budget. She made the process seamless and even helped us find a rental until we could occupy our new home. Our home has appreciated almost 40% and we feel like Kimberly steered us to the best location in Mt. My wife and I have worked with Kimberly Self Ritter both to sell a home and then later to purchase our current home. Kimberly is incredibly professional, capable, and effective. She is easy to work with and does a great job of navigating the home buying/selling process. She has a thorough knowledge of the area and brings many years of experience to the table. Kimberly focuses on building a relationship with her clients and doesn't merely view this process as a transaction. During our last home search, she made it so easy to find our perfect home. She even showed us our current home virtually when we could not make it in person! Kimberly is not afraid of asking the tough questions and is 100% your best advocate in the negotiation process. Finally, her followup is wonderful and we WILL be using her for any real estate needs in the future. Thanks Kimberly!

After interviewing 4 other agents we knew right away that Kimberly was the one for us. She is professional, knowledgeable, easy to discuss things with and able to keep calm when we were not. She held our hands throughout the whole process and made it so easy for us. She thinks of everything that could happen before it happens so that there is very little worry. She was there from beginning to end and for that we are so very grateful. When we get ready to buy a home, she is the only one we will call. I wholeheartedly recommend her.
