1.  What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?

Accepted Answer

First, you need an agent who is there to protect you and who has your best interests at heart; The seller has an agent working for them and you need one too. You need a lender that will help you understand what loans you qualify for, and get you pre-qualified or pre-approved to let the seller know you can complete the transaction. Know about the schools and neighborhood statistics, have an inspection done and know what is on the Property Disclosure Statement.

2.  What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?

Accepted Answer

Start getting your home ready as soon as possible. De-cluttering and removing personal items will get the home cleared out and ready for staging. Staging the home will almost always increase the final sale price of the home. How does the paint look on the walls and exterior? A deep cleaning before an Open House is a must. Touch-ups to the landscaping, pressure washing the walkway, driveway and outside of the home will improve curb appeal.

3.  What types of clients have you worked with?

I have currently only worked with buyers, but will be expanding to the listing side this month. Our team is currently working three listings and are helping those clients with cleaning, staging and minor improvements prior to going to market.

4.  Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?

Accepted Answer

I recently helped a couple moving to North Carolina from Georgia. They had been looking for several months and were concerned they were being too picky about their home choice. I told them a home is a serious investment, especially when you are looking for your forever home... you will know it when you walk in. You'll look around and say "I love it, this is exactly what I was looking for!". And guess what?  It happened - they were thrilled and this is why I love my job!

5.  How did you get started in Real Estate?

I had been a project manager in a corporate job for the last 10 years. Though I was also a teacher in my time, I was ready to move away from those positions and find something that I truly enjoyed and could also help people in the process. I had been thinking of getting into Real Estate for some time, and late in 2023 that opportunity presented itself and I'm so happy I made the move. Helping people find their dream home or move out of their current home into their next life adventure is so rewarding!

6.  Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?

My history in project management provides me the skills not only to look across the entire timeline of the buy/sell, but also to provide constant communication to my clients. My teaching history allows me the ability to explain the home buying or selling process to my clients to help them understand the entire process and why things are done the way they are. I also have completed extended training to gain certifications or designations in Negotiations, Home Finance and Short Sales and Foreclosures.
