My goal and motivation is to exceed your expectations when you are ready to buy or sell real estate. I pride myself as being an advocate for you by listening to your needs and managing the entire process from beginning to end with integrity and honesty. A I have obtained the Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABRĀ®) designation which is awarded by REBAC (Real Estate Buyers Agent Council) to agents who have met specific educational requirements and have met certain professional criteria needed to provide this high level of service. I have also obtained the Senior Real Estate Expert (SRESĀ®) designation which is additional education to assist in addressing the needs of home buyers and sellers age 50+. I know this area and bring a wealth of knowledge and understanding of real estate and this market that I can offer whether you are a first time home buyer, retiring and relocating to this area and to sellers looking to sell. A With real estate changing so quickly, you can trust that I can maneuver through the process - keeping you informed and in my utmost care. I serve all of Fremont County including Canon City, Florence, Penrose, Texas Creek, Cotopaxi and the Tallahassee area. I pride myself with a reputation of absolute integrity, high-level expertise, and incredible client service. I understand that real estate can be the single largest investment. Whether you are buying your first home or ready to sell your home, I can help you make informed real estate decisions. Just because an agent claims they sell the most homes in the area doesn't always make them the best representation for you. An honest, hard-working agent with great communication is key. Before you select an agent, I would love the opportunity to show you the service I can offer.

She sold my house in a month...from first listing to close. And, I got 50% more for the house than I was ready to take before talking to Kim. Simply the perfect real estate agent.

Kim helped us buy our home and we couldn't have asked for a more professional, caring and just awesome agent. She calmed us when we were ready to throw in the towel, she helped us jump over all the hurdles that came up and now we have our home and are so happy. I would highly recommend Kim, whether you are selling or buying, she will work hard to make your dreams a reality.

We moved here from out of state. During our house buying process, Kim was above and beyond what we had expected. Her responsiveness to our questions, being our 'boots on the ground' and assisting us in finding the perfect house to meet our needs. Her knowledge of the community, divisions and neighborhoods have been very helpful. We have referred two other parties to her, who were very thankful. Thank you Kim.

1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Getting prequalified with a reputable lender is the single most important thing to do when getting started with purchasing a home. Having all of the required documentation they will need will expedite the process and will make the entire process easier and less stressful. Working with a knowledgeable Realtor is the 2nd most important thing so that you can have all of the information you need to make decisions along the way.
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
No matter what type of property you have, the single most important thing is to be realistic on expectations. Whether it's price, location, preference, condition, etc.... no property is ever right for every single buyer. While price has a lot to do with it, sometimes it's just a matter of knowing that a specific property may need more time on the market because it requires a special, specific buyer. Listen to your Realtor and give them the opportunity to provide you with statistics to allow you to make decisions. You are the ultimate decision maker - so make the most informed ones.
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
I have worked with a variety of different clients ranging from windowers to a first time home buyer radio celebrity. In my market, we tend to draw buyers from out of town who are looking to retire. Alot of my clients are looking to retire, have experience with buying and selling and knows the process. I also work with first time home buyers who know nothing about the buying process and need someone to hold their hand -- which is what I love to do!!
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I recently had the opportunity to assist a seller in selling her property of 50 years! She had raised all of her children there and when they had grown, she had taken in foster children for many years. At closing we learned that there had been around 300 foster children in and out of her home. It meant a lot to me to be part of that -- knowing that her home was a safe haven for so many kids and may have been the only safe place they had. She is now going to do some nice things for herself like visit family and maybe even take a trip to Peru!
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
I got started by working with other top producing agents in Fremont County. I spent many years shadowing and working alongside them to get as much knowledge as I could and have a good understanding and how to problem solve. When I think about having that opportunity, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I couldn't imagine getting my real estate license and not knowing anything about the business and having clients trust me with their huge investments. Experience is key - and I know that I have both the experience, knowledge and insight to do a fantastic job for my clients.
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I have obtained the ABR designation which stands for Accredited Buyer Representative. I have also obtained the SRES designation which stands for Senior Real Estate Specialist which helps me assist buyers who are looking to move into what's called "aging in place" homes. (One level homes without stairs, etc..) I am currently working on my GRI designation which stands for Graduate Real Estate Institute and has taken me over a year and I am now half way done.
