As first-time homebuyers, we needed an agent that could answer our questions and help walk us through the process. Derek and Kim at Dean Home Team with Simply Texas Real Estate, recently helped me sell my home during a busy market in an area of high demand during the pandemic. They had my home under contract within a week of being officially on the market. I had originally planned to move out of state after it sold but ended up staying here in the Melissa, TX area. I sent them a late-night email explaining my situation and the home search began the very next morning. They were both super attentive to my questions and what I wanted in a home. I ended up in the best new home I could imagine for my family. I cant speak highly enough of Derek and Kim and the Dean Home Team. Wow! Kim and Derek did a fantastic job! After my first home buying experience being pretty rocky, I was looking for someone who would have lots of experience and knowledge to guide this process. Luckily, I was referred to Kim and Derek by a friend! They were so helpful, and were wonderful to work with. They were always available to answer questions and to help, and made my fiancee and I feel comfortable even in the midst of buying and selling during the Covid-19 pandemic. I cannot recommend them enough to anyone who is looking to buy or sell their home!

Derek and Kim are AMAZING!! Okay let's set the scene. Mid twenties single guy wants out his one bedroom apartment yesterday but is still locked in a lease for another year. Limited budget first time home buyer who is very particular but has (in true mid-twenties fashion) no idea what he actually wants. Anyway, yours truly meets with Derek and Kim and lays it out, and they gave access to their online portal. The next year is spent day-dreaming about houses I see all over the portal. Having no clue where I actually want to live, I'm checking out houses all over DFW. Derek stays in touch and keeps me updated, I keep up with the portal (which is super helpful and informative compared to most other sites, including this one). Fast forward one long year of a declining apartment life and contemplating living in a van down by the river, and finally my lease is about to end. Re-enter Derek. Derek somehow manages to get an understanding for what I like and suggests some good areas, particularly the Anna/Melissa area. We looked around for a bit. When it comes to house hunting, Derek can cut through some seller BS like a fat kid cutting in line at a buffet. It saved me more than a few headaches with the 'used car salesman' approach of some of the builders. He found an AMAZING deal on a house which allowed me to land a house that would have otherwise been tens of thousands out of my price range, and he did it in about two weeks once I actually started looking in person. He stayed in touch and helped me through the entire closing process. His home inspector turned out to be one of the most meticulous and thorough person I've ever met. On top of all this, I work night shift but Derek still found a way to be timely and responsive to my slew of questions and paperwork set to him at 3:00 in the morning. If this hasn't sold you yet here's the icing on the cake. During the year I was stuck in my apartment, Derek and Kim grew their company exponentially but when I showed back up, Derek personally handled my purchase start to finish. He never farmed me out to the new guy, instead he handled it like I was his only client. I won't buy without the Dean Team.

I'd known the Dean Home Team for years while living in McKinney, TX. When it became time to sell my home, the choice was obvious and immediate. The Dean Home Team, Derek and Kim, researched the market, my specific area, overall competitive properties on the market and made perfect recommendations on how to price, position, prepare and show the house to it's best advantage. I knew other realtors but I also knew their level of effort and commitment, which reinforced my decision, especially after the work Team Dean put in. In preparing the property they went above and beyond by personally coming and working on it to renew the shine. I had already moved out and a thousand miles away, so it was impossible for me to come back to address things; they did it all. So, cutting to the chase, they sold the house at a price above where I thought it would sell, in an incredibly short amount of time, negotiated the final contract/repairs and orchestrated a closing 5 states away. Everything went perfectly and as they say; "the money's in the bank". I could not have been happier with the process and the outcome; it was the easiest, fastest and most profitable house sale of all the 5 I'd sold. These folks care about their customers, treat them as family and are as honest as the day is long. If you're buying or selling a house; you need to give Dean Home Team the opportunity, you won't be sorry!
