After some research, I contacted Kim Cooper because she was listed as having extensive experience & having lived in the area for some time herself. Leonardi with State Bank & Trust) to help me with the pre-approval and later the mortgage process. Initially we were to meet with Kim on our visit, but she had another couple from out of the area who decided to stay an extra day. Since she had made that commitment to help them, she asked if I would mind touring with her assistant, Ashley Jones and I agreed. In the end, we did all of our touring and negotiations through Ashley with Kim overseeing the process and offering a second opinion as needed. Since I got to know Ashley better, let me just say that she is AWESOME. She is kind, knowledgeable and responsive. She helped us tour several homes on our visit and then stayed in touch with me as we solidified our decision to move to the area. She never pressured me or made me feel I was wasting her time even though we had many questions as first time home buyers. After moving to Aiken, Ashley and I toured quite a few more homes before finding the right one. Every step of the way, she had my back and offered great advice. Ashley truly became someone I consider my friend. Although I did not work with Kim as directly, I knew she was fully available to us whenever her experience or knowledge was needed. She oversaw the process beautifully and was very helpful in a difficult negotiation with the sellers. If we ever sell our home, we are absolutely going back to Kim & Ashley for both the sale and the purchase of a new home. They are both true professionals and will leave you impressed and pleased.
