My biggest advice is to get pre-approved first and be clear on your budget before looking at homes. It saves time and helps you move quickly when you find the right one. I also encourage buyers to focus on what they truly need versus what would just be nice to have, and to ask questions throughout the process so they feel confident every step of the way.
Price it correctly from the start and make sure the home is clean, presentable, and appealing to buyers. First impressions matter. I also advise sellers to be open to feedback and flexible when possible, because that can make a big difference in getting the home sold faster and for the best price.

Since transitioning into my role as an agent, one transaction I’m especially fond of is one I was involved in while working as a transaction coordinator. I was able to support the process from contract to closing, making sure all documents were completed correctly, deadlines were met, and communication stayed consistent between all parties. It went smoothly because everything was organized and handled in a timely manner, which helped avoid delays. That experience gave me a strong understanding of what happens behind the scenes and allows me now, as an agent, to better guide my clients and keep their transactions on track from start to finish.
I got started in real estate working behind the scenes as a transaction coordinator, where I handled contracts, timelines, and communication from contract to closing. That experience gave me a strong understanding of the process and what it takes to keep a deal on track. From there, I transitioned into becoming a licensed agent so I could work directly with clients and guide them through one of the most important decisions they’ll make.
In addition to my real estate licensing, I’m currently working toward my Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) designation and continuing my education through NELAR classes. I’m also actively learning about first-time homebuyer programs so I can better assist clients who may need guidance with financing and available resources. Combined with my background as a transaction coordinator, this allows me to provide organized, informed, and hands-on support throughout the entire process.
