About Kevin Mattson
I've proudly called the Lake Country area home for the past 25 years. With a strong background in both real estate and the mortgage industry, I bring a well-rounded perspective to every transaction. My experience on both sides of the table gives me a deeper understanding of what it takes to guide a deal from start to finish. While no one can claim to have seen it all, I've encountered enough to know how to navigate challenges and find creative solutions. My approach is simple: find a way to make it happen so it's a win-win for everyone . I have 109 transactions completed and counting.
Please see my reviews to confirm my beliefs and service.

HOBBIES/INTEREST
Supporting the youth in our community through the Lake Country Optimist Club, travel, sports fan, but mostly family time.
FAMILY
Family is at the heart of everything I do. I have been married to my wife, Jill, for 37 years, and together we have two adult children, Blake and Brenna. Blake is married to Allison, and Brenna is married to Steve. My family is my greatest blessing and the most important part of my life. The values of commitment, trust, and caring for others that guide me at home are the same values I bring to my real estate business and the relationships I build with my clients.

FAQ
Lean on your instincts before buying. Check with local government agencies and of course your agent with any questions, even if you think it is a silly question. This is a big transaction. Trust your gut and if it doesn't feel right, a better one will come along.
The first impression is critical. From the exterior to interior, make the needed repairs to make your home shine. Declutter as much as you can.
I have worked with first time home buyers to million dollar buyers/sellers.
At the closing, everyone was smiling and enjoying the transaction. As my buyers were leaving, Mr Buyer said, "Thank you! You changed our life and we are forever grateful."
I was in the mortgage lending industry for 25 years. When 2009 hit, no one was lending/buying mortgages. I went back to school and got my Special Education license. I taught for 7 years in Special Education and built up the Sp Ed students "grit", or self esteem. It was successful so I wanted to teach "Grit" to the entire student population. I knew the School District could not afford an additional staff position for me, so I tried to get a grant and go back to the same school and teach "Grit". I could not get a grant. I had to do something for my employment and I always loved real estate. Instead of mortgage lending, I wanted to try being a real estate agent. So glad I did. Not forgetting about "Grit", I started the Lake Country Optimist Club and incorporated a grit program to 14 middle schools and counting. The program is called, "True Grit". It has been well received and we are continually adding more middle schools.
The biggest training I have is CREN ~ certified real estate negotiator.
