I'm an active part of Leander Leaders, where we blend business with local impact, and I serve on the board of Hill Country Community Ministries, helping meet essential needs right here at home. I also volunteer with Backpack Attack, making sure local kids are ready for school, and stay connected through City Reach Church. HOBBIES/INTEREST

When I'm not helping clients make big real estate moves, I'm usually chasing birdies on the golf course, hitting the trails with a good podcast, or playing a game of Mahjong. I'm all about mixing a little fun with a little focus--and keeping life interesting along the way.

FAMILY

Life at home is never boring--my husband Justin and I have a blended crew of four awesome kids, and we're easing into that "empty nest-ish" stage. Our daughter's married, two of the boys are off at college, and the youngest is holding down the fort (for now). It's a mix of quieter mornings, loud weekend visits, and a group text that never sleeps. They keep us on our toes and laughing--always my biggest joy and motivation.

Katie was our original realtor when we sought a rental in Austin, and when it was time for us to purchase our first home, we deliberately sought her out, and we have had incredibly positive experiences with her. She was incredibly responsive, answered all our questions as first-time home buyers, successfully negotiated a deal in our favor with some very stubborn sellers, and throughout the whole process, we felt confident with her as our agent. We hired Katie in 2017 to sell our home in Crystal Falls, TX. I thought it would be a dragged out process honestly. I know in the past, the process can be somewhat painful. Before we knew it, Katie had come over and started planning EVERYTHING out with us THAT SAME DAY!!! She has such amazing vision with what should be done in order to achieve certain results. She is extremely responsive and attentive to your needs. She doesn't mind when you switch up your parameters for searching and can give you a spectrum in your known parameters if you are new to the area and just aren't sure yet what the options are. She showed me everything from bigger homes a little further out in my price range to apartments very near my office so that I could weigh all options in my price range and find the best fit for me. She doesn't pressure you to take the option that pays her the best, but rather encourages you to take the option that fits you the best. She treats her clients like a friend instead of like a business proposition. I highly recommend her and have recommended her.

You're in a great position to lock in a Texas home before retirement. With your exceptional credit and steady job, you'll qualify for the best loan programs, and today's high inventory gives you real bargaining power. Buying now in Cedar Hill or Duncanville means you can spread any renovation work over the next two years while you're still workingaEUR"no rush, no stress. You benefit from building equity early and getting ahead of potential price gains once inventory tightens. A couple things to keep in mind: interest rates affect your monthly payment more than home price, so watch the market and consider locking a rate when you feel good about it. Factor in property taxes in your budget (that is sometimes a shock for people relocating to TX), and leave plenty of wiggle room for upgrades
