Hi there! I'm Katie Bacon, and my mission is simple: to take the stress out of the home buying/selling process and replace it with absolute clarity, unwavering support, and dedicated advocacy.
Before transitioning into being a Realtor, I served as a social worker right here in the Wichita area. In that field, I was deeply immersed in some of the most challenging, high-stakes situations families can face. While that work taught me a lifetime of empathy, it also showed me how overwhelming complex processes can be when you don't have the right guide in your corner. I helped a family relocate and buy their first ever home, with no down payment, no out of pocket cost other than the earnest money which at closing they got right back. It was a really happy moment to watch them finally have a place of their own that they worked so hard for and that I got to be apart of organizing the pieces all together to make them fit.
My background in social work within the Wichita community taught me firsthand how overwhelming life’s major transitions can be for families. Witnessing these challenges inspired me to change how I help. Realizing I could make a more sustainable impact by guiding people through complex processes before they become crises, I transitioned into a role focused on clarity and advocacy. I am dedicated to taking the stress out of major life events, ensuring my clients feel heard, informed, and empowered every step of the way.
