1.  What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?

Accepted Answer

My biggest advice to a buyer is to get prepared before you fall in love with a home. Know your budget, talk with a trusted lender if you are financing, and be honest about what you truly need versus what would simply be nice to have. When the right property comes along, being prepared allows you to move confidently.

I also tell buyers not to be distracted by pretty furniture or cosmetic finishes. It is important to understand what you are really buying—the location, condition, insurance costs, flood zone, potential repairs, community restrictions, and long-term value. If the property will be used as a vacation rental, we also need to carefully consider rental rules, operating expenses, guest appeal, and potential income.

I will never pressure someone into buying a home just to make a sale. If I see something that concerns me, I will point it out. My role is to be your eyes and ears, ask the right questions, negotiate on your behalf, and help you make a decision that feels right both financially and personally. The goal is not simply to buy a property—it is to buy the right property for you.

2.  What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?

My biggest advice to a seller is to listen to the market and price your home correctly from the beginning. I will always tell you the truth about what I believe your home is worth—even if it is not exactly what you were hoping to hear. My job is not just to tell you what you want to hear; it is to help you get your home sold for the best possible price.

You only get one chance to make a great first impression, so presentation matters. That does not always mean spending a lot of money. Sometimes it is simply decluttering, cleaning, making a few repairs, rearranging furniture, or adding the right finishing touches. I am very hands-on and will help you determine what is worth doing and what is not.

Once the home is ready, it needs professional marketing that makes buyers stop, look, and imagine themselves living there. I will communicate with you, listen to feedback, adjust when needed, and work hard to protect your interests through every step. My goal is not just to put a SOLD sign in the yard—it is to help you walk away feeling confident that we achieved the best possible outcome.

3.  What types of clients have you worked with?

I have worked with a wide variety of clients, including primary-home buyers and sellers, luxury and waterfront buyers, vacation-home purchasers, real estate investors, and clients completing 1031 exchanges. I especially enjoy helping people relocate to Marco Island and guiding out-of-state buyers who may be purchasing from a distance.

I have also helped buyers evaluate vacation-rental homes and condos, sellers prepare and market properties for the best possible outcome, and older homeowners navigate downsizing or a move into senior living. Whether someone is buying their first Florida property, searching for a second home, building an investment portfolio, or selling a longtime family home, I tailor my approach to their individual needs. My goal is always to provide honest advice, local knowledge, clear communication, and personal support from beginning to end.

4.  Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?

One recent transaction I am especially fond of was helping an older gentleman sell his longtime Marco Island home as he prepared to move into a senior living community. He wasn’t quite ready to let go of the house or everything inside it, so I knew this transaction required more than simply putting a sign in the yard.

I took the time to help him through each step of the transition. After he moved, I helped arrange the sale of his furniture, coordinated the cleanout, and made sure the home was properly prepared and presented to buyers. With thoughtful preparation and strategic marketing, we were able to achieve an excellent price for his home.

What made this transaction so meaningful was being able to reduce his stress during an emotional life change. To me, real estate is not just about selling a property—it is about recognizing what someone needs and caring for them throughout the entire journey.

5.  How did you get started in Real Estate?

Real estate has been part of my life since I was five years old. My father would take me with him as he searched for investment properties, teaching me how to recognize potential, evaluate a good opportunity, and understand the value of owning real estate. That early experience grew into a lifelong passion. Over the years, I became an investor myself, gaining hands-on experience with fix-and-flips, vacation rentals, and income-producing properties. Becoming a Realtor® was a natural next step because it allowed me to use that knowledge to help others make confident real estate decisions.

6.  Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?

As a Marco Island resident, Realtor®, and real estate investor, I offer more than property information—I provide firsthand knowledge of the island and its vacation-rental market.

I completed the Marco Island Expert course through the local Board of REALTORS®, giving me specialized training in the island’s neighborhoods, properties types, amenities, and unique considerations for buyers and investors.

Because I personally own and manage vacation-rental investments, I understand the questions that matter when evaluating a home or condo: rental restrictions, operating expenses, location, guest appeal, income potential, and the features that may help one property perform better than another.

My husband is also the owner of Plus Vacation Rental, providing us with valuable insight into the day-to-day realities of operating a successful vacation rental.
