ZillowVERIFIED We had been with a different realtor for about 5 months and were not getting many showings. So we changed to Kathy for her local expertise in the area and we are so glad we did. In the two months she had the listing we saw three times as many people than our previous realtor showed in 5 months. She provided continuous feedback thru all the showings we had and brought qualified couples thru which ultimately help to sell our house. She was very helpful in the contract negotiations to get us the highest dollar amount possible which ended up being exactly what she had thought the house would sell for when we listed it with her. Once we had a signed contract, she continued to assist us with the final steps to complete the sale (house inspections, follow up on questions from the sellers/legal/etc.) until the day we actually closed. Looking back we dont think without Kathys effort that we would have sold our house and we were so pleased with her and her team professionalism and efforts that if we ever have to sell a house again, she will be the person we go to as we have seen from this recent experience, she gets the job done!

ZillowVERIFIED Things started out well since her daughter, Shannon, was also with her. Shannon noticed the details of our home that Kathy didn't or couldn't, and we couldn't be happier with the interactions we had with Shannon. Soon after we listed with Kathy though, phone calls stopped being returned, and she never once personally showed our home to any prospective buyers. Not even anyone from her "team" ever showed our home. We ended up selling our house after 6 showings. We were going back and forth on the price, with our realtor trying to get us to come down in price. I thought your realtor was supposed to be on your side. Finally in order to make the sale, she offered to reduce her commission by 1/2 a percent. We agreed, and sold. Now, one week prior to our closing date, she "doesn't remember" ever saying that. Last night she also told us that she "assisted" with our appraisal, and tried to make us feel that our house wouldn't have appraised at what it did without her help. I guess we're supposed to feel guilty? She also told us specifically that at least one of us should be present for the inspection only to find when the buyers' realtor showed up that we weren't supposed to be there at all. Something Shannon confirmed for us when we called her. So with no prior notice, we packed up our 85 pound dog and drove around in the rain for 3 hours. Suffice it to say we will never refer anyone to Kathy Dames.

ZillowVERIFIED We were disappointed with the service. Kathy uses a team and we felt the team didn't communicate well with each other and we sometimes got mixed messages. After we had a contract and before closing we had some problems and didn't get a response and had to call them twice before we had an answer and it was 6 hours later. Price was too high oroginally and we called them to reduce it after two weeks of no showings, they didn't contact us. There were several issues like this and it did sell but we felt if it was priced correctly we could have sold it sooner. It sold for the exact amount another realtor in town suggested.
