Community Involvement
Community isn't just where I work--it's where I live, and I take that seriously. For over 20 years, I've been actively involved in the neighborhoods I serve throughout Chicago and the western suburbs, from Oak Park to La Grange to Brookfield and beyond. Over the years, I've been involved with Francis Xavier Warde School, Mount Carmel, and Old St. Pat's Church in Chicago--institutions that are pillars of their communities. Supporting local businesses is a priority for me, and I'm always looking for ways to give back to the communities that have given so much to me and my family. Every week, I share a curated list of local happenings with my clients and sphere--farmers markets, festivals, restaurant openings, community events--because staying connected to what's happening locally matters. After 23 years in Chicagoland real estate, I've learned that the strongest communities are built by people who care. I'm proud to be someone who invests time, energy, and resources into making our neighborhoods better places to live.
HOBBIES/INTEREST
When I'm not helping clients find their perfect home, you'll find me exploring everything Chicagoland has to offer--which is exactly why I send out my weekly "Things to Do" email! I'm genuinely passionate about discovering hidden gem restaurants (comes with being married to a chef!), checking out local events, and staying connected to the communities I serve. I'm an avid reader--there's always a book on my nightstand and usually one in my bag too. Give me a cozy spot, a good story, and a cup of coffee, and I'm happy. Lately, I've been learning bridge with my mom and sister--it's become our special way to spend quality time together while keeping our minds sharp. My husband and I are also attempting to learn pickleball (emphasis on "attempting"!), which has been equal parts fun and humbling. These activities remind me that it's never too late to try something new. I love staying active in the community through local events, supporting small businesses, and discovering what makes each Chicago neighborhood unique. After 23 years in real estate here, I'm still finding new favorite spots! This passion for local life isn't just a hobby--it helps me match clients with neighborhoods where they'll truly thrive.
FAMILY
Family is everything to me--both my own and the families I serve. As a mom of teens and wife of a chef, I know firsthand that life is beautifully chaotic. Between school schedules, family dinners (my husband makes sure those are always special!), and our dogs underfoot, our home is the center of everything. That's why I understand what families need in a home. It's not just about square footage or number of bedrooms--it's about where your kids will grow up, where you'll share meals together, where your pets will have room to play, and where you'll build memories that last a lifetime. I've been helping Chicagoland families find their perfect home for 23 years because I genuinely care about making sure your house works for YOUR family's unique needs. Whether you're a first-time buyer starting your family journey or downsizers entering a new chapter, I bring empathy and understanding because I'm living this family life right alongside you.

FAQ
The most important advice I give buyers is to understand that buying a home is not a simple transaction, it's a complex process with legal documents, financial decisions, and potential pitfalls that require professional guidance. Don't try to do this alone. Assemble a team of experienced professionals including a real estate broker, a real estate attorney, a mortgage broker, and a home inspector who will protect your interests and help you navigate each step with confidence.
Start by getting pre-approved for a mortgage so you know exactly what you can afford and can move quickly when you find the right home. Be clear about your needs versus your wants, and stay flexible, sometimes the perfect home looks a little different than you imagined. Trust the process and lean on your team's expertise, especially during negotiations and inspections when emotions can run high.
Most importantly, remember that this is one of the biggest financial decisions you'll make. Take the time to fully understand each step, ask questions whenever something is unclear, and don't let anyone rush you into a decision you're not comfortable with. My goal is always to help you get to the finish line quickly, but never at the expense of making sure you're informed, protected, and confident in your purchase. And know that even after closing, I'm here as a resource, you're always a client, not a past client.
The most important advice I give sellers is this: don't cut corners on marketing. The biggest mistake I see sellers make is trying to save money by hiring a broker who doesn't invest in professional photography, video, and comprehensive marketing. When sellers cut corners upfront, they often find the final sales price reflects that decision negatively, costing them far more than they saved.
Invest in a full-service real estate broker who will bring your home to market as a production, not just a listing. Professional photography and video aren't luxuries, they're essentials that directly impact how quickly your home sells and for how much. I see this most dramatically when I take over previously listed homes that have been cancelled or expired. When I implement a new marketing plan with professional vendors and a strategic approach, it can make all the difference, usually resulting in a quicker completed sale and a satisfied client.
Beyond marketing, be realistic about pricing and listen to your broker's advice about preparing your home for showings. First impressions matter enormously. And remember that selling isn't just about getting the highest price, it's about getting to the closing table successfully with the fewest headaches along the way. That's why having an experienced team, including a real estate attorney and a broker who knows how to negotiate and problem-solve, is critical. My job is to help you understand the process fully and get to your end goal quickly, and that starts with doing things right from day one.
Over my 20+ years in real estate, I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients across all types of transactions. I work extensively with renters, helping them find apartments and condos in downtown Chicago and the western suburbs that fit their lifestyle and budget. Many of my rental clients eventually become buyers when they're ready to take that next step.
I'm particularly passionate about working with first-time home buyers and downsizers, these are my specialty areas. First-time buyers often don't realize how complex the home buying process really is, and I love guiding them through every step with patience and education, assembling a professional team to protect their interests. Downsizers are transitioning from larger homes to smaller spaces, which can be an emotional journey, and I bring empathy and understanding to help make that process as smooth as possible.
I also work with relocators who are moving to and from the Chicago area, often on tight timelines. These clients need someone who can move quickly, stay organized, and provide local expertise about neighborhoods and communities, which is exactly what I deliver.
On the seller side, I work with all types of sellers, from those selling their first home to move up, to empty nesters ready to downsize. I've also successfully handled bank-owned properties and have particular expertise in taking over expired or cancelled listings, where I implement fresh marketing strategies that get results.
No matter the transaction type, my goal is always the same: help my clients understand the process fully, advocate for their best interests, and get them to their end goal quickly with exceptional service and care.
One transaction that really stands out is when I worked with Ali. She had been referred to me by friends after a terrible accident that affected her previous home, so she was going through a really difficult time both emotionally and practically. This was exactly the kind of situation where empathy and organization matter most.
I took the time to not only find her a huge number of options that met all her criteria, but also to personally check in on her throughout the process, not just about the house hunt, but about how she was doing overall. I scheduled viewings in a very organized way so we could cover a lot of ground efficiently without overwhelming her, and I walked her through each step of the process with patience and care.
What made this transaction so rewarding was seeing her excitement when we found the right place. She told me she loves her new space and is working on making it feel more like home. That's exactly why I do this work, helping someone navigate a major life transition with kindness and finding them a place where they can start fresh and feel safe again.
It's a perfect example of how real estate isn't just about the transaction. It's about understanding what someone is going through, being there as both a professional and a supportive presence, and ultimately helping them get to a place where they can move forward with their life. Those are the transactions that remind me why I love what I do.
