Review We learned about Karine through real estate signs posted in our neighborhood and online reviews. When we were ready to list our home, we contacted her and received an immediate response. During our first meeting with Karine, we were extremely impressed by her engaging personality, her efficiency, the thoroughness of her preparation for the meeting, the insightfulness in determining a list price, and the reach she has for marketing through online resources and networks. She toured the house and provided judicious suggestions to complete our work at staging rooms. She explained the process that would unfold with clarity, and she responded to questions rapidly. Her communication with us was, in fact, excellent. She arranged for a professional real estate photographer, and he took amazing photos of our property, including an aerial view. During our first (and only) day of showings, we received four offers, three of which were above list price. She went through each offer, explaining key points, and we accepted an offer the following day. We were thrilled to have our house sell well and then come off of the market after only one weekend! She continued to work closely with us through our closing date. Karine is a seasoned and gifted professional who made the sale of our home the best it could possibly be, and we highly recommend her.

The inventory this year is very low and it is key to have someone like Karine who can provide information on what houses are coming to the market. This allows us to often be the first ones to look at a house and to make sure we don't miss a house that we like. Unlike other agents, Karine provides the two sides of coin when she presents a house, which allows someone who is not familiar with town a well-rounded knowledge to make a better decision on a big purchase. Buying a house is certainly not a easy process, but Karine certainly makes it a easier and more pleasant process for us.

We had a huge amount of showings of our house as soon is it was listed. When the first offer wasn't right for us, she was very realistic about what position we were in and how we should counter. No one likes to let a buyer go, but it was the right decision for us because soon afterward, the right buyer did come and we were able to get more of what we wanted. Review She's very smart, BUT only looks out for her own benefit in the whole process. Do NOT hire her as Seller's agent. She fooled me into listing home at a much lower price than I should have and pressured me into doing expensive repairs. She charges high commission whereas other realtors negotiate. She is very impatient, bossy, and annoying and cuts you off repeatedly in conversation. When we faced some challenges, she bailed on me and I had to work with her manager, but she flew back in to collect the commission. Filthy experience overall. I have worked with 5 prior agents and I will assure you that Karine Garfield is NOT on your side and only looks out for herself. BE WARNED!
