When we met with Kari while "shopping" for a listing agent, she came in with a strong list of comps, knew the area, provided solid list of considerations for how to best show our house, and put forward a very competitive listing price- yet felt that we would receive more when the sale went through (Which we did!) Kari provided for excellent photographs to post on-line (see above!). Once the showing process started, she effectively worked us through this step. As we encountered a stall during the sales process, Kari helped move us successfully through this. Kari was most responsive from start to finish! Review I've used Kari to sell a previous home and she sold it when others couldn't so I didn't have any problem with getting her to sell and help us buy a new home at the same time. My home sold in 3 days(we didn't even get a sign up) and we put a contract on our final home. Everything had to line up on the same day for settlement and the transition was seamless. Review Our experience with Kari selling our house was absolutely disastrous. We were a little ambivalent from the onset because she seemed rushed when writing the listing but we had already decided by that point to go with her because of our first meeting and her reviews seemed respectable. We were led to believe by Kari that we had just missed the hot sellers market so when an offer came in on the very low end we felt compelled to take the offer. We felt as if we were never properly counseled on what to do. We were also not told that in the State of Maryland that the seller must contribute a huge amount of proceeds to the buyer which brought the net proceeds to us down even further. About 6 weeks goes by after closing and I spoke to a friend of ours whose son was searching for a home and said that housing inventory was very low and it was a sellers market! Our house showed extremely well according to buyers agents so I started to get very anxious. We are just so disappointed as we owned this house for 40 years and so sad to feel we were just a paycheck. Kari wasnt even present for the closing.

Review Kari did what I thought was the impossible - she sold my house AT ASKING PRICE! We tried to sell 2 or 3 years ago and granted the market was a little more down at the time but the agent we had before Kari wasn't even able to get an offer during the 1.5 years it was on the market. Kari got an offer 1 WEEK after listing it. She is great. She is responsive. She is helpful. She is respectful of the seller's wishes and does what she has to to meet your wants/needs. Use Kari Shank - don't bother with a "friend of the family" or anyone else if you want your house sold ASAP and at your asking price.
