ZillowVERIFIED We used Susan Booth of the Karey Brown Team to sell our home in Topeka, Kansas and she is outstanding.Before choosing a real estate agent, I conducted a lot of research to see who would be the best choice based on the investment they make into selling the property and how they promote their listings. All of my research revealed very high ratings with the Karey Brown Team and Susan Booth. Since we were building a new home and did not want to sell our house until we moved, I sent Susan an email in the late spring/early summer letting her know that we would like to use her services. Susan never missed a beat with us and continuously sent me emails with updates about homes on the market and the housing market in general.Once we were able to finally list our home, in October, we spoke with Susan and then met with her at our home. She had asked me prior to our meeting the address of the house we were wanting to sell and she came to our initial meeting fully prepared to put our house on the market. She had conducted her research and provided us with a suggested selling price. When we saw our listing we were blown away. Susan's hard work and knowledge of what it takes to sell a home really paid off - our listing looked amazing and our home sold quickly. It went under contract in about 10 days. Throughout the entire process, Susan kept us continually updated with dates of showings, open houses and every activity associated with the sale of our home. ZillowVERIFIED We had our house listed with Karey Brown and were shocked at her inattentiveness to try and sell our house. She put it out onto websites, but did nothing else. She had 2 open houses, but only because we insisted on it. When it finally sold, she said "oh, I thought it would sell faster than that." She thought it would sell itself, I guess. Another realty company sold it, so she got half of the commissions for basically doing nothing. I would tell everyone to steer clear of her agency whatever she calls it now. Her real estate signs are so "busy", we had people stop and ask us what the sign was. You couldn't even tell it was a "for sale" sign in our yard.

ZillowVERIFIED Meg Heston was our listing agent. She and all of Karey's team were very responsive and knowledgeable. Meg took the time to ask the questions that helped us find the right listing price for our home. She provided us with great information on how to prepare and stage our house for showing. When she did the initial walk-through she gave us additional suggestions on what we could do to get our house ready, and at the least cost. Eleven days after our house went on the market, Meg brought us two competing offers! Our buyer was getting an FHA loan. We'd heard the FHA appraisers can be very particular, and Meg took us through our home once again to show us areas we should address to prepare for the appraisal. We've now closed on our old house and are enjoying our new home. I hope we never have to move again, but if we do, we'd be happy to work with Karey's team!
