ZillowVERIFIEDI initially wanted to leave a positive review for Karen at Florida Lifestyle Realty Group, Inc., as we had a good rapport from a business networking group. However, my five-year renting experience at the Alfred Street property in Tavares was highly disappointing due to Karen's unethical practices. Karen prioritizes profit over property maintenance and tenant interests. She hires unqualified workers, resulting in poor repairs, yet charges tenants for these substandard fixes from security deposits. For example, after my front door was damaged, the repair was shoddy, with the frame pieced together and the screen door left unrepaired. Despite reporting this, Karen deducted the screen door repair cost from my $2,000 security deposit, returning only $500. Other unjust charges included $300 for painting an unpainted garage, $25 for a single light bulb, $500 for a dishwasher I never used, and $166 for a refrigerator handle I repaired myself. Karen failed to address serious issues, like an electric panel with exposed high-voltage wires, reported as a safety hazard by her own electrician. She also disregarded lease terms, providing late or no renewal notices (once only three days) and forcing immediate payment at a higher month-to-month rate without proper notice. However, she threatened late fees for tenant payment delays, even when caused by external errors, like my credit unions bill pay issue. Other unresolved issues included leaking plumbing, a hole in the roof from a poorly installed LED light, unsecured window treatments, a dripping shower faucet, and malfunctioning closet doors. Karen also requested inappropriate tasks, like scraping caulk off the floor with a razor blade. Her realty services were equally unprofessional. I referred my father for a $400-500K home purchase, but Karen sent listings for $600-700K properties, leading him to fire her. This was the most stressful, unprofessional, and unethical renting experience Ive had. I strongly advise speaking with neighbors about their experiences before engaging with Karen or her company. Youve been warned.

ZillowVERIFIED We are living overseas and needed a manager to take care of our home and especially as our house tenant was? causing us problems with? the HOA, we? met Karen and liked how she presented her company and what a fantastic find she turned out to be. On taking full charge the problems just seemed to disappear and the HOA, my wife and I were all gratefully relieved.?At the end of the tenancy the house was evaluated for best presentation needs. Karen took on the role to manage and prepare the house for sale. This was completed on time and so well that within a week we started? to get multiple offers, best in the area. The sale completed just six weeks later with? Karen center stage all the way through. We commend and recommend Karen as a broker as she has gone above and beyond all of our expectations.Karen we wish you every success in the future you are a true friend and treasure.

ZillowVERIFIED I would highly recommend Karen Riscinto as a realtor to anyone looking to buy or sell. My husband and I relocated from South Florida to Tavares recently. Karen was on top of everything from showing us homes in the areas we were interested in, to making sure our mortgage process was progressing as quickly as we needed it to. Our home purchase was a very quick turn around. She even made sure everything was progressing as scheduled in South Florida to make sure our closings in both places happened as planned. She will have your back always and can even make recommendations for doctors, cleaning people, homeowners insurance, etc. Karen does it all!

ZillowVERIFIED Karen has been our Agent in the USA for ages, looking after our crumbling 1906 villa on a double plot with a separate apartment. In that time she has found us tenants, removed tenants and become an expert in the renovation and upkeep of an ageing orangery workers house in Eustis. She is a dab hand at finding deals and repairmen at the lowest of costs. When we came to sell, Karen tried every trick in the book before realising a sale - which has more to do with her tenacity than the aspect of the property. We would recommend her services without hesitation.

ZillowVERIFIED This is the 3rd property Karen has helped me & my family purchase. She goes above & beyond her "job" as a real estate professional. This is her life helping people sell & purchase a home. She has completely handled this last purchase while I have been out of the country. She is a trusted & truly competent partner to have on your test when buying or selling a home.

ZillowVERIFIED She was quite rude and extremely dismissive. I wouldn't recommend her or anyone else who shows those kind of characteristics to anyone. It was borderline disrespectful. To be a realtor or someone who represents a property, there should be a basic phone etiquette or customer service when dealing with potential homeowner's or tenant on a daily basis and Karen displayed no interest in anything I had questions for. When I asked about a property in Eustis, FL with questions like how long has it been on the market and is there a way to schedule a viewing. Her reply was I would need to make 3 times the rent as if she knew I couldn't afford it, which wasn't the case. The tone in which she replied was the reason I had to hang up and take my business and money elsewhere.

ZillowVERIFIED Karen is very knowledgeable about the local market rentals as well as property for sale. I leased a property that she managed and she walked me through the lease and the renters guide. During the year that I was leasing she was very responsive to any inquiry I made. I ended up purchasing the property I was leasing. During this process Karen was very helpful. She gave me excellent advice about people and firms to call to obtain all of the services needed. I would recommend Karen for any of your real estate needs.

ZillowVERIFIED This lady is dishonest and has yet to make it easy on us during the duration of our renting from her from start to finish. Had a rough start from the beginning with her. She kept our entire security deposit to remodel the place we rented when we moved out and was not to nice of a place anyways. Refuses to answer my emails, phone calls or text while trying to reach her about it. would highly suggest not working with her.

ZillowVERIFIED We wanted to sell our property, and found Karen on Zillow. She had great reviews, so we decided to give it a shot.Karen, is VERY prompt. Any call, text, email is always answered within 24 hours. We've worked with dozens of agents/realtors before, and she's definitely an exceptional one.We had several issues with the previous contractor that did a horrible job. Karen provided her own contacts, supervised the work, and made sure the house was 100% ready for sale. She really treated the house like it was her own. Due to several complications (such as former bad contractor and unique layout of the house - none of which were Karen's responsibility or her fault), selling of the house took longer than we had initially expected.Karen was there all the way, updating, sharing information, thinking of ways to speed the process, and relieving stress. At the end of the day, the property was sold for a price we were happy with.Thank you, Karen!

ZillowVERIFIED We moved from Maine to Florida in November 2015. Although we planned to rent, Karen showed us how much less mortgage payments would be compared to rental payments plus security deposits for pets. With a new job working from Ocala in the west to Orlando in the east, I was looking for something central to these areas. Karen knows the area well and showed the perfect home for us in Mount Dora-- a small home on a large lot in a great neighborhood and easy commuting.Karen does property management, too. When we get to the point of going back to our Maine home for the summer, we will have Karen look after our Florida home. I admire her professionalism and hard work.

ZillowVERIFIED My fiance and I were shopping for a home in the Mount Dora area and after trying to find homes on our own, we decided to look for a realtor. We saw Karen's signage near our rental property and decided to give her a call. Not only did she meet with us that same day, but she listened to our needs and pulled some listings right then and there. The same day, she found the home we were looking for and set up a viewing within the same hour. This home ended up being our perfect find! Karen has great contacts in the community not only in real estate but also contractors, landscapers, lenders, etc. Her expertise, industry knowledge and professionalism are beyond compare. She wasn't just a realtor to us, she walked us through the entire process and made sure that we were being taken care of. She treated us like family, not like clients or a number. If you are looking for someone who is trustworthy, straightforward and doesn't beat around the bush, Karen is your realtor! You will not regret working with her!Deborah & John DeGraw

ZillowVERIFIED Even though she didn't show us the home, Karen had the offer papers ready for when we got back from vacation. She was very quick to get the home inspected. We were able to push up our closing date by a month because of how efficient she was at getting things over to us (we moved from Maryland to Florida) so most was online.
