ZillowVERIFIED Karen was our agent for the sale of two homes in under a year. One home was in the Seminole area in central Pinellas County, Florida. With her connections, she was able to find reliable folks to address an issue with the metal roof, something important in a state with home insurance complexities. The first home successfully closed in August 2023. In early 2024, we contacted Karen to help us get a home along the Gulf Beaches in Pinellas County ready for market. The second home was held in an irrevocable trust, and our already-established relationship with the title company assured no last minute complications. With this home, we had moved from the area before it went on the market, and Karen handled all aspects of the sale and negotiation in person for us. It closed in June 2024. We highly recommend her if you have a property to list in the Tampa Bay region!

ZillowVERIFIED $37.00 to have our realtor go and check the progress of a new construction home that she is representing us on the purchase of. The purchase price is $1.3M and she is asking us for $37.00 to go and take pictures to show us progress is being made. We asked because there have been multiple issues with the project and we live 2 hours away with 2 small kids which makes it difficult for us to visit the house ourselves. That is what it costs to get the attention / assistance of our own realtor: $37.00. I cant believe I am leaving this review but I want others to be aware before they work with Karen Donovan or any of the realtors here. You deserve better.

At every turn she was there for us no matter the day or the time of day via by phone, email or a personal meeting. Rapid response and ease of communication are often vital with negotiations. On that point, Karen suggested additional requirements of the seller (ie, home warranty, retention of appliances, etc.) that we would not have thought to include and to our benefit, both buyers accepted the terms saving us additional $$. ZillowVERIFIED I was moving from queens and trying to buy our first home in Hicksville, Long Island. It was a difficult process, i really had no idea where to start. We were working with another brokers for over 6 months and had no success. The other broker was showing us a lot of homes but many didnt work for us, and other were simply out of our budget. ZillowVERIFIED Just sold a house using Karen Donovan and her company. Totally unsatisfied and would not recommend her. To be fair I have used her in the past 20 years to buy and sell houses and she was good and have recommended her to numerous people but this time what she and her agents did was outrageous. She lowered the price on my property 2 times without my knowledge or consent. She also listed my property as being in contract without being in contract. Even when her listing was expired and she was told house would no longer be for sale she had her agents met people there to show the house. One time we set an appointment to show the house her agent did not show up on time and showed up an hour later after I had left. The people she was showing the house to then tried to let themselves in by taking off rear window screen and pushing on windows even using a flip over garbage pail as a ladder to get to some windows. Why did we continue with the sale of the house with the last buyer they brought if we were so unhappy with them... I did not think that I would be able to get the asking price back up when a search on different sites show the price being lowered by them two different times. When a price is lowered people want to know why it is then being raised. I did not feel that I would be able to recover price wise unless I kept the house off the market for a year or more. Please beware of this company.
