ZillowVERIFIED We decided to look for a 2-BR in the building where we have owned a 1-BR for many years. We knew we would have our own lawyer, but did not think we needed a buyers broker to buy in our own building. So we replied to a listing in streeteasy, thinking we were contacting the sellers agent. Kalav immediately called to set up a viewing and made clear that she was a buyers broker. She asked when we were free to view it and contacted the sellers agent to arrange. We visited soon thereafter in the afternoon, and wondered about the view at night. Kalav and the sellers agent returned after dark that day to host another viewing. Kalav explained the buying process very thoroughly and why we should have a buyers broker. We did not express much interest in the apartment nor in signing on to look at other apartments, as we still figured we wouldnt need a buyers broker to buy in our own building. Kalav applied no further pressure and yet was immediately responsive when, a few weeks later, we asked to view it again. We decided then and there to take it. The purchase of what was supposedly move-in ready turned out to have unexpected legal complexities. Kalav was ALWAYS responsive immediately (no exaggeration) to our texts, calls, and emails. She pushed to keep the process moving with the sellers agent when sellers lawyer did not respond to our lawyer in a timely fashion. And she made invaluable suggestions to us as to how to move ahead. In addition, there was an inordinate amount of paperwork she handled or guided us through. Now we understood why we needed a buyers agent! There was no question, then, that we would hire her to be our broker to sell our previous apartment. And Kalav has recommended excellent contractors who have been reliable and competent for her and other clients.

ZillowVERIFIED The only full-service broker I have worked with, and I have worked with many brokers. Kalav Mistry is a dynamo who knows construction inside and out, has the organizational skills to deal with the onerous demands of co-op boards, understands the psychology of real estate bidding and knows the pulse of the current market. I could only make a few short trips to the city and Kalav and her teammate Mimi Jefferson went out of their way to accommodate my schedule, including last minute requests to tour places. They were honest about the pros and cons of a place and paid attention to what I liked. Kalav guided my initial bid and then my second bid when two competing offers showed up. She kept an eye out for contractual issues (for me these were fixtures and a special assessment). Putting together co-op board packages is about as fun as doing taxes, but with the help of her assistant, this went incredibly smoothly. She and Mimi then helped out with the interview preparation. Finally, not only was Kalav able to recommend a good contractor but she also has the knowledge and the willingness to kick up a fuss to police the contractors work. This was extremely important to me because I was on the other coast and all the while she kept me in the loop with calls, video tours, and photos. Bottom-line: the most talented and dedicated broker you could ever find.

ZillowVERIFIED As a first-time homebuyer, I came in with little knowledge of the process, and Kalav went above and beyond to make herself available to answer my endless amount of questions and to provide much reassurance throughout what can be a very daunting experience. After meeting with several other brokers, I chose Kalav because she was patient and supportive and did not push me to make a decision I was not 100% comfortable with, or bombard me with 100s of listings that were not relevant to my search (something I encountered with the other brokers!).
