This was a difficult time for our family and a difficult decision for my siblings and myself to sell our childhood home. It is one of the higher end homes in FC located at the end of one of the islands, i.e. large water view. My dad bought the house new in 1974 and there was a bit of work to do to make it ready for sale. Since I lived out of state, I needed an agent who not only knew the market well, but also had a team to help us stage the house properly. We interviewed a number of good successful agents and chose Julie based on her market knowledge and her direct communication style. She had clear ideas about staging and what needed to be done?..trust me there was a bit to be done. Julie was very prompt on all communication regarding all aspects of cleaning out the house and staging it well. I felt she went above and beyond in her understanding my logistical issues and stopped by on numerous occasions to take care of some major and minor issues which normally would not be handled by a listing agent. Bottom line, she took ownership of the listing and made sure it was well prepared and marketed. We listed the home a bit aggressively based on market conditions, i.e. not expecting any bidding wars due to increasing interest rates. The home sold relatively quickly for above our asking price. Despite living out of state, I have a good understanding of the market and where the house should have been priced. Julie saw the value in the house and we came to an agreement on the price which, as mentioned, was aggressive, but realistic and which my siblings and myself were in agreement. As of the sales date it sold for the highest amount for any home in FC prior. To conclude, Julie was very professional, pro active and aggressive in not only marketing the home, but getting it ready for market which it seems is where most of the heavy lifting is done. I recommend her to anyone looking to sell and/or buy a home.

She was referred to us through a mutual friend, and from our very first meeting, we realized that we had chosen an excellent agent to help us navigate the challenges of buying a house in a competitive Bay Area market. Julie patiently understood our requirements (a Single Family Home that was move-in ready, had good schools and was close to work), discussed which areas were our best bets within our budget, and provided an overview of the home buying process. Once we were comfortable, she took us to see several houses in Foster City, Redwood Shores, Belmont and San Carlos areas. Due to her strong network, she knew most selling agents, and could easily arrange home viewings at our convenience. This was a big plus, because we could avoid the open house crowds and look at the finer details of the house. For every house we saw, Julie described what she liked about the house, suggested future improvements based on how similar houses in the neighborhood had been remodeled, and finally, gave us a sense of what a winning offer would look like. One thing I liked a lot about Julie is the fact that she never pressured us to write an offer on a house that we werent sure about. It was almost 5 months before we wrote our first offer, but Julie always maintained the same level of enthusiasm and professionalism while showing a new house. For the first offer, we had to compete with a few other pre-emptive offers, which required prompt action from Julie. She was up to the task, working late at night, constantly communicating with us, and getting our offer to the sellers before the 10PM deadline. The house eventually sold for a much higher price than we were comfortable with, and even though we lost the offer, Julies dedication to her clients was pretty clear. With the onset of the COVID pandemic, we were a bit apprenhensive, but Julie continued to work with the selling agents and got us to see several houses, always with a smile behind her mask. Eventually, we liked another home, and our offer was accepted in a multiple offer scenario. We had a contingency in place, so Julie helped schedule Property Inspections, Pest Inspections, etc. which put our mind at ease. She also suggested a loan officer from Citibank who gave us very good rates. She was always a phone call away, and despite all the COVID challenges, we finally got our dream home.
