Having worked with Julia 10 years ago to buy this home, we trusted her completely. Julia's experience prioritizing the steps to get ready and Amy's attention to detail in getting the house ready to sell were outstanding. We learned that preparing a house for sale is not the least expensive thing you'll ever do. Some of the investments include: repairs, inspection fixes, landscaping, painting, cleaning and staging. While a significant up-front investment, we strongly believe it was off the charts worth it and that we got a great price and a quick sale that went very smoothly. Additionally, Julia is outstanding at working with other Realtors. The buying agent was a great guy and did have some detailed requests along the way. Julia built and preserved that relationship to the point that we were invited to show the new owners the house systems. Meeting them was lovely and we feel great all around with the new owners and that the house will be loved. A big part of that was Julia navigating through the sale. Finally, Julia and Amy were lovely, understanding that we were leaving a home we loved, and very kind balancing that with getting ready to sell. All in all, we highly recommend The Murtagh Team. Most of the times, it's a good feeling when you continue working with someone and you can leverage their expertise. In the case of home buying, I would say lesser time you spend with the Realtor you are working with, better it is... this means your Realtor made it happen and got you a wonderful deal! That was our experience with Amy and Julia! :-) Their team is awesome and I still can't believe we were able to outbid 20+ offers and got this beautiful Home. The most important skill any Realtor needs is the market knowledge. Since Amy has been around for most of her life in the area, it was wonderful to get her insights from a veteran-resident point of view. She guided us on each step for what she thinks can be good for us and the family. Amy is super approachable and I like mostly communicating on Text Messages and there was hardly ever that it took half-hour for her to reply. While we were looking at Covid times, she always kept a safe distance and kept the Mask ON at all times. We were in a sellers market with Birdland homes moving very quickly. Because of this we felt we needed to negotiate the commission and preferred to do it with a non-acquaintance.
