Joy was extremely helpful in helping us narrow down different areas, understand our choice/needs and has a very good eye for things/material. When I first called Re/Max 7 years ago inquiring about searching for a home they directed us to her and i really felt like i hit the jackpot. She helped my find my very first home in 2013 which was perfect at the time. I had NO CLUE what i was looking for when viewing houses. I didnt know all of the small things to look for that affect the quality and longevity of the home. Joy really went through things with a fine tooth comb to help me make an educated decision. First time home buying was SO SIMPLE. I remember one of the first things she said was, I will work with you for as long as it takes to help you find the home you love. That stuck with me because she truly cares about her clients! 7 years and 3 kids later, we outgrew our first home. It was without question Joy was our GO TO when it came time to find our forever home! She listened to our priorities, what we were looking for, and really worked with the craziness of our schedules to make herself available. We thought we were just getting our feet wet when we started viewing homes. The third home we looked at we knew it was the one. With such a competitive market and homes flying off the market faster than we could view them she made sure we were able to place a competitive offer! She even rose to the challenge with the rare contingency clause of getting the home we were in on the market, and had an offer within DAYS of the two week time frame of the contingency offer on our forever home. As a resident of the south hills her local knowledge of both areas were TOP NOTCH! Joy recomended and advised/worked with other amazing inspectors, mortgage company/ advisor, and other engineers to really make sure everything was done on time. We were informed EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. She answered all of my husbands countless questions or directed us to resources that were needed. Joy goes above and beyond!! We loved working with her! It was a bittersweet day om closing that we wouldnt be working with her again but she did help us find our find our forever home and watched our family grow from the very beginning. She ensures that she stays up to date on market changes. As well as makes sure she is educated on the latest Real estate procedures and processes. Our home buying/selling experience although always stressful. Had minimal stress and she made the entire process simple!

Each time, she demonstrated and in depth knowledge of her industry and the current conditions of the market. When viewing homes, she had a wonderful eye for potential issues that would have never occurred to me, and was always forthright and realistic when pointing that out. I never felt that she was trying to push too hard for the sale for commission. Also, when it comes to negotiation and communication between buyer and/or seller, she was always great at offering her advice while still allowing us to ultimately drive the discussions. ZillowVERIFIED In 2016 my mother who lived alone in Pittsburgh became gravely ill. I called Joy Lamars from Michigan where I lived and asked if she could access my mothers home in the event that I would have to sell it quickly to provide for her care. Joy went and visited my mother and spent time with her making her feel very comfortable. In 2018 my mom passed away. Joy was an absolute blessing to work with. She took care of all the arrangements for the sale of the home. Joy took care of finding handyman, plumbers, making arrangements for estate sale, final clean out, and even recomended an attorney to help me with all of the legal aspects of settling my mothers estate. The home was sold for more than I was asking within two days of posting. Though I had only talked to Joy a few times on the phone, when I met her and talked with her in person, I felt I was talking with a friend. She was very patient, comforting, and extremely helpful. I could never have asked for a better person to help me in a very difficult and emotional time.
