I purchased my house in June 2024, I was relocating from California to New Hampshire, a Remote Closing, I needed an excellent realtor to handle everything for me, paperwork, final walk through and closing. Realtor Joshua Matthews came highly recommended by a Referral Service, his phone interview was great, his credentials were outstanding, his online presence was immaculate. However, upon my arrival to my new home, I soon discovered a huge amount of items left on the property (ie. work bench, old roof shingles, table, flooring, wood boards, tools, junk in the garage, kitchen items, old paint, solvents, old fluorescent tubes, and Joshua Matthews response was he can try to get previous owner to come get the items left behind. Joshua Matthews explained he did 1 walkthrough, and he discovered items left on the property, Joshua Matthews explained he took the Sellers Realtor word for it, that all the items had been removed from the property, and he never did a final walkthrough on my home. I had to hire a Junk Service to remove all the items left behind on my property, in which the previous Owner did reimburse me $1046.00 coordinated by Joshua Matthews. And Joshua Matthews & his wife picked up the remaining 8 large bags of hazardous materials (ie. paint, solvents, fluorescent tubes) left behind on my property. This is a delayed review/posting to notate my experience with Realtor Joshua Matthews.

Josh was easy to work with and very knowledgeable of the Real Estate Market. He listened to us and understood that we were at the age where our children were on their own and we wanted a smaller, more manageable piece of property close to our children. He actively looked for properties that may be suitable for us and made it easy for us to transition from our family home in Mass to our more suitable home for retirement in Maine. He promptly answered calls, emails, and texts and kept us informed about every development during the Purchase and Sale. His knowledge of New Hampshire and Maine real estate is invaluable.

My wife and I met with Josh Matthews early March of 2019 and we told him our needs and expectations for selling our home. We set up a date for later that month for an open house. Within two days after the open house we accepted an offer more than asking priceA Josh was easy to work with and always there when we had a question, and answered it in a timely fashion. This is not the case with all realtors, and I'm speaking from past knowledge. If you want a realitor that is engaged to his clients wants and needs, I would highly recommend Josh Matthews.

Joshua was referred to us by a close friend who could not say enough about how amazing and knowledgable his Realestate agent was. We were intrigued so we decided to give him a call. Joshua was prompt in making the time to do an initial assessment, he did his homework before showing up and after looking at our house gave us the assessment that was completely in alignment with what we were thinking after doing our own research. Joshua ensured that our house was market ready by providing a walk through from a professional "stager", who provided suggestions that created a blank slate for interested buyers. Josh came in when we were ready and took absolutely amazing, professional photos of our home and listed. We had an open house scheduled for Saturday and had 2 site unseen offers on Friday, the day before. The house was on the market for 2 days and we were in contract with a full price offer, with a backup full price offer. Nothing prevented Josh from being with us every step of the way right up to the closing. Six weeks after meeting Joshua for the first time, we were at our closing and I can honestly say I completely understand what my friend was talking about when he referred Josh to us.

It all started when Josh wrote a handwritten note and mailed it to us describing the local market and providing a ton of value when he didnt even know if we wanted to sell. Well we did and the rest was history. He first helped us find the perfect place to move to and next comes his magic. To all those who may be considering buying or selling a house, I can tell you the agent makes all the difference. You need an agent who is honest, has integrity, hard working, and works in your best interest not just for the deal and their commissions. Sound too good be true? I have worked with some agents in the past that are nightmares or the agent with the listing don't care and aren't real. I fortunately have been blessed to find a couple, that are awesome and I can call friends. If you are in NH or in Maine near NH.... you need to Talk to Joshua Matthews. At Bean Group If you are further up in Maine, you need to talk with Phil Adams of Adams realistate. There are others out there, but these 2 I can attest are exceptional. Our recent sale and purchase experience with Joshua Matthews was our fifth over all real estate transaction. I could not have asked for a smoother and less stressful experience. Joshua was the most thorough and professional broker we have ever used. We really felt like we had someone in our corner during both sale and purchase. His advice on handling some of the negotiations with our sale was exactly what we needed. He was able to meet otherr brokers at our house with very little notice to make our property easy to view which ultimately lead to a cash deal sale in 6 weeks in the middle of the Winter. We initially selected Joshua because of his name. We have a son named Joshua Matthew. Divine intervention sent him to us because he worked miracles! We first met him to sell our home on July 31st. By August 11th, our home had been professionally marketed, shown multiple times and we accepted an offer. During that same time, Josh spent countless hours helping us learn about lakefront property: what to look for, what to avoid, etc. and ultimately found us our dream home on our preferred lake and with all of our "asks"... and then some! We closed on the new property on October 9th. Within 10 weeks he made all of that happen. It's just incredible to think back about it. His skill and expertise in preparing our offer helped us to win out over other offers (the same day the home went on the market no less!). We always felt like we were his only clients though we knew he was busy helping other families. Through it all, Joshua is calm, helpful, and HE JUST GETS IT. This story sums up his style: When we were at a point where we weren't finding the right house and we were moving into temporary housing... and panicking a bit... Joshua took the time to invite us to meet him at a home he had recently sold - all his idea. He showed us what was possible in our price range if we waited for the right one. He asked us to just be patient and trust him. We did. And every day we look out at our gorgeous view and are so grateful we took a chance on a realtor with a great name. We can't thank Joshua enough for his calming presence or his expertise at what he does. I would recommend him to anyone.
