My biggest piece of advice for buyers is to get educated early and stay prepared. In today’s Maryland market, the best homes move quickly. When you understand your financing, your search criteria, and the neighborhoods you’re focusing on, you can make strong, confident decisions without feeling rushed.
I always encourage my clients to get fully pre-approved before touring homes, not just pre-qualified. A solid pre-approval gives you clarity on your budget and shows sellers you are serious. From there, focus on the big picture. Look for homes that fit your long-term goals, not just what looks good in photos.
Finally, rely on your agent.
