ZillowVERIFIED Jonathan did an unbelievable job selling our first home in Chatham, NJ. He had patiently worked with us for over a year in the search for a new home for our growing family. So when the time came to sell our old home it was a no brainer to work with him. Prior to getting started he guided us on how to best prep our home to sell. Selling a home was a new process to us. So he also walked us through what to expect throughout the process. That proved very helpful! He also laid out a strategy to list our home at a fair price that would encourage a bidding war. We had a lot of trust in him already from his prior work helping us. So we went with his plan exactly. The outcome was fantastic. We ended up with around 10 bids, all above asking. The highest bid was around 22% over asking which we then accepted. Its also worth noting that during our open houses we experienced some minor home damage due to an unfortunate accident that was no ones fault. Without even having to ask, Jonathan volunteered to cover all of the repair costs out of his own pocket. If youre looking for a top notch real estate professional with high integrity to advise you I couldnt recommend anyone higher than Jonathan.

He always appeared on time for many weekends for open house visits and did not push us to make any decision without thinking carefully. He even suggested us to back off from a house based on the inspection report result. He also recommended us pretty good attorneys and mortgage brokers, it has been pretty smooth to get the deal finally done. This was helpful to understand the potential hidden cost of purchasing some of the houses we saw. When we found the house we really liked, he helped us put in an offer that we were comfortable with but that he also thought would get the deal done. He was great working with the seller agents to feel them out to get a sense for the amount of competition we were up against. And he was also tremendously helpful throughout the inspection and appraisal processes. When it came to putting in our offer, he went the extra mile to explain to the seller agent why we loved the house. I felt very comfortable throughout the entire process (which was something we were pretty unfamiliar with having purchased our last house 7 years ago. He started guiding us in pursuit of our first home and finally got us the best one we bid on. It was a long process given the non-existent inventory but Jonathan was always available to answer all of our questions(including the silly ones) and visit any houses that turned up on the market matching our needs. Initially, we looked at houses with Jonathan for a few months and the knowledge and ease in which he helped us navigate the process gave us the assurance that we were in good hands. Jonathan has a great team and is fast, reliable, and capable. He made home hunting, booking listings, following up with sellers agents, and compiling our offers all professional and seamless. When he created and submitted the few offers we made, they went out with a personal touch to the seller that showed Jonathan had gotten to know us well. This was extra and not lost on us! When we did find THE house, Jonathan followed through with the same consistency and professionalism in securing us our sales contract. We worked closely with Jonathan and his amazing team at ExP Realty, and our excellent, super sharp attorney, Andy Weinstein. But the real review for a job incredibly well done by Jonathan and team comes from our almost-failed closing, when our lender did the unthinkable and fell through - ON closing day. Cake Mortgage, despite having a 60 day closing which never moved, failed to close on time, ghosted Jonathan and his team, would not communicate with our title office, and eventually ghosted us after stringing us along for days. Sounds stranger than fiction, right? The whole situation has been well documented by Jonathan who took to the internet to drag Cake Mortgage out of hiding. After Cake left us hanging without a place to live and all of our things in a moving van incurring costs, Jonathan connected us with Thomas Sloan at Capital First Mortgage. If it werent for Toms skill and speed to get us to close, the deal would have been over. Jonathan knew all the right people to get the job done and his network of high caliber, smart, capable professionals are the reason we are writing this review from the comfort of our own home. We were incredibly fortunate to have Jonathan on our side! Hes genuine, trustworthy, reliable and a great human being. The icing on the cake? After the gut wrenching treatment by Cake Mortgage, it felt great to be sent gifts and pizza by Jonathan and his team when we finally did move in this week!
