Jon Crompton entered the Real Estate Industry in 2007. What is now known as the Great Recession, Jon was able to quickly adapt to the ever changes in the Charleston Real Estate market. He first found his foothold helping Sellers navigate the rapid increase of inventory, which drove the demand to a staggering 16 Months of inventory! Soon he found himself educating clients on the Short Sale process as well as navigating the Foreclosure process for some. What separates him from most Charleston Realtors, is that the average agent in town sells 3-5 homes a year, while Jon on average sells 40! His selling clients are able to rest knowing that he negotiates on homes every day rather then once every few weeks, which is why he is able to get on average, 99% of his list price to sales price while the average agent in Charleston gets about 96.5%, putting more money in his clients hands! Upon joining the Keller Williams Real Estate Franchise in 2014, Jon found himself outselling 95% of the Charleston Trident Board of Realtors! He consistently is a Realtor of Distinction recipient, was voted Best Realtor in Mt. Pleasant by Mt. Pleasant Magazine, has been a Double Gold award through Keller Williams since 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, Triple Gold award winner through Keller Williams in 2018 as well as 2019!

1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
I think your first process should be to sit down with an agent and do what I call, a buyer consultation, which is where I go over all the ins and outs that are associated with purchasing a home, the before process, the showing process, the contract process, closing process and beyond.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Make sure you interview an agent with a track record. In Charleston we have 6,700 Realtors and the average agent sells 3-5 homes a year. So you truly want someone who negotiates more then a few times a year when dealing with one of if not thee biggest asset you have.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
I have worked with everyone. First time home buyers to the second home buyers to investors. Each one is great to work with and I love helping navigate the purchase process. I have also dealt with divorce situations, short sales, foreclosures, as well as just first time home sellers to people who inherit homes and need to sell.
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I recently helped a client sell a condo. It was her first home, though she is now married and has rented it for almost 10 years, we were able to sell it within 30 days where the average unit takes 5 months to sell, she was thrilled and I was happy to get it off her hands and it not sit empty!
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
I started in 2007 and it was because my uncle in Delaware was a Realtor. He told me it would be a great business to get into, though it was hard work and lots of hours, though very rewarding in many aspects.
