ZillowVERIFIEDOur family had the good fortune of working with John and Gloria Young to purchase our home in Palo Alto. We had purchased Bay Area property before, but the competition for real estate that we encountered in Palo Alto was at another level. From the beginning, Johns introduction to the real estate market and process was informative and helped us to clarify our highest priorities, which led us to have great certainty in our decisions moving forward. He found a range of properties for our family to view, which was somewhat challenging given our specific neighborhood preference. John was always gracious and kind, earnestly seeking to understand our familys values and needs. When the time came to make an offer, John provided us with data on comparable properties and historical trends so that we could submit a competitive and appropriate offer. We were overjoyed when our first offer was accepted! The Young Platinum Group does more than facilitate the purchase. Gloria has introduced us to a variety of vendors to help us take care of our new family home, and we trust that we will have their support in the years ahead. John and Glorias expertise, professionalism, devotion to their clients, and interpersonal warmth have made us feel very much at home here in Palo Alto.

ZillowVERIFIEDJohn and Gloria are unique and incredible partners for finding a home on the Peninsula. We started our search while still living across the country and had a very high bar for what we were looking to find. They truly understood our needs and what we wanted to find. They patiently helped navigate and counsel us over the course of an entire year to ultimately find exactly the right place for us, at the right price. They went above and beyond and were always accessible, and always warm and positive. Their advice and insight (e.g., how to bid, what was more or less important to trade off, interpersonal dynamics of a deal that we needed to be aware of) were always right, even when we didn't want to hear it. Most importantly, you are not just a transaction with them. They genuinely take joy in building relationships and in helping you find a home that gives you joy. You can trust them completely, and they'll welcome you into their lives as friends.
ZillowVERIFIEDWe can't speak highly enough of our experience working with Gloria and John. Selling the home where we raised our family, Gloria and John took a complex process and made it fast and fantastic! We will certainly work with Gloria and John again if we decide to move back to Palo Alto area and would recommend anyone in the Palo Alto area to consider working with them.
ZillowVERIFIEDThe best agents, who you should want to represent you! From the start of our search until the close of escrow, the Young Platinum Group found me a dream house and made it happen. Starting with the buyer education process, which made me feel confident about what I was getting into, to the search process, where we efficiently toured 6 properties in a morning sandwiched into my busy schedule, John was looking out for my interests and explaining why I should care about certain things. He eventually found a new listing on an un-finalled construction site, which was outside of my stated geographiesaEUR| but he knew that I was an avid cyclist and that this was amazingly good for that. It was perfect, if unfinished. The competition was kept low because the house was not finalled, but Johns construction experience let him talk to the builder as an equal. We brought in experts and John oversaw the long escrow period, helping me feel calm in an unusual situation. Eventually the house finished construction, and all the problems we noted were remedied. I'm now happily living there and could not be more happy with the Young Platinum Groups professionalism, ability to spot value, negotiating skills, and basic friendliness. Id recommend them to anyone!
ZillowVERIFIEDFrom start to finish, John was amazing. This was our first time buying a home, and John made us feel comfortable and informed throughout the process. It started with our first meeting: John walked us through the mechanics of home buying and asked us great questions to help us understand our tastes and values. He found and arranged open houses, weekend by weekend honing in on more interesting properties - including the one we ended up buying! When we decided to put in an offer, John coached us through making a reasonable, competitive bid. It was our first bid on our first house in a hot market - and it sailed through. And after that, John managed the many, many details of the contract. He told us what to focus on, what to worry about, and what we could safely skip. As process-oriented people, we felt entirely comfortable with John's guidance throughout. He made the experience feel sane and simple. We'd happily work with him again.
ZillowVERIFIEDFrom the moment we reached out to John about helping us with the sale of our San Carlos condo, he was absolutely on top of bringing together all the little things that go into a sale- from the paperwork to the staging to the photography and more. Since we had a newborn and a toddler on our hands we needed an agent who could help make this sale happen with very little stress, and John delivered. He quickly pulled together a plan of execution and was meticulous about all the details, ensuring that our place would have a clean bill of health for our potential buyers. He was also helpful in pulling some market analysis, helping us set our price point appropriately and with the right expectations for larger trends in the market. When it came time to list, he marketed the place on a wide variety of channels to ensure maximum exposure, which complemented the beautiful staging and photography he helped facilitate. John and team are a great choice if you're looking for an agent who is proactive, organized, thoughtful, and will make your selling experience smooth and simple.
