I cannot express how much I appreciate John and the service he provided us. After much research, I chose John from dozens of realtors and he absolutely surpassed my expectations. I was helping my parents sell their house to downsize and move 5 hours away. During the pandemic and because they are elderly, it was extremely important to me that my parents stayed safe and were comfortable with the selling process. John treated my parents with patience and compassion. He explained everything in detail. He answered all of our questions. He quickly responded to our calls, emails, and texts. Selling a home in COVID times is not the easiest. John looked for opportunities to make process easier on us and potential buyers. John was great in evaluating home before it went on market by helping us stage the home, videos, and pictures. His preparation work was so good, the house sold before it officially went on the market. He got us the price we needed and worked with the buyers by negotiating a very fair Lease-Back (our home actually sold too quickly!). John is great at communication and being straight-forward. Finally, John and Mysti's integrity and character are of the highest caliber. If I am buying or selling a home in this area, John and Mysti Sturges are the friends we are calling.

Finally in 2017 I decided it was time for me to venture into house hunting and John was very helpful in this venture. He sat with me to help determine what kind of house, floor plans and areas that I wanted to live in along with financing aspects. Found a house I liked, I turned to John we made an offer (which was accepted) and the house was mine. John was with me through the whole process guiding me through the steps of buying the house. ZillowVERIFIED We began our relationship with John in 2008, and he has helped us buy and sell several homes. We found a condo we were interested in seeing back in July, and we immediately contacted John. We did not consider using any other agent, because he has always been honest, straightforward, patient and has a good understanding of the market. The condo was out of his usual area, but, due to our existing relationship, he agreed to setup an appointment and travel an hour away to show it to us. John quickly saw both the good and not so good with the Condo - it needed remodeling - and didn't push us either way. After we decided to make an offer, he offered excellent advice on how much to offer and what conditions we should include in the agreement. After a couple of issues were found by an inspector, John offered great advice as to what we should insist the buyer fix and on lowering the offer price. The process went smoothly, and John was always available when we had a question or needed something in the paperwork explained. The next time we need an agent, we will call John again. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

It was almost as if he did zero research on the houses prior to our arrival. I told him I needed a yard, a garage ect.. Then he would show me houses with no garage, no yard. Had to fire his as my realtor. Then he continued to call me and email and text me like a girlfriend who just wouldn't take the hint. Very Unprofessional Experience. I would stay away if i were you.

We were very motivated to close on our home, and sunk some money on the house we were in negotiations for to address some issues that needed to be dealt with immediately. When the negotiations began to get a little more rocky, my wife and I were concerned we may have just lost some money on a deal that had fallen through. John told me that worst case, if the deal falls through, he would give us half of what we had spent towards the house repairs. This speaks to their character and compassion - I cannot recommend John and Mysti more strongly than that.

We are very cautious buyers, so it took almost a year to purchase the home. Mysti Sturges was incredible to work with. She made herself available at a moments notice and if she wasn't John stepped in. She never pressured us, and was patient and re-affirming during the entire process. However, she was assertive with the sellers and seller's agent when necessary. The offer process was all done electronically and was very quick ans simple.There are a lot of agents in this area, however if you want one that really focuses on you, the customer, and not the commission hire the Sturges.
