Review We started on a good note with John Solaegui, who later "delegated us" to his younger colleague, Lance. We trusted them both, but eventually it became painfully obvious how little they care about our best interest or the money we spend. They consistently kept pushing us to "put our best foot forward" and mentioning things along the lines of "if you offer $100,000 above the asking price, you won't even get a call from the seller's agent (we always did). Moreover, they made us overpay on the condo we bought even though they knew we were in a position to negotiate a lower price (they did not disclose this information to us until after we signed the documents). As we were closing, they said they would send a handyman to take care of the repairs that needed to be done. After we closed, we had to keep reminding them for almost 2 months before they were willing to send someone our way. We felt like they cared even less once they got our money. We were also apalled and shocked by Lance's level of unprofessionalism, and his lack of respect for privacy. He spread gossip about other agents . What is worse, after we bought the condo, he published our name, address, how much we paid for the condo, and our life story on his Instagram - without our permission. We regret hiring John and Lance as our agents and are now warning all our friends against them. Please don't repeat our mistake and don't do business with them.

In both instances, he has gone above and beyond. 1) I cannot say enough about his knowledge about all aspects of SF real estate. Because he has such a detailed, nuance understanding of all aspects of SF real estate, he is able to advise in all aspects: buying, selling, renting, investment. We looked into purchasing investment property which we decided against because we have since moved to a different state, but he was the right person to have on our team in that process as well. 2) He is dedicated. While we were working with him on the sale of our home, he had a very difficult family event occur. He shared with us what had happened. He told us that work helps him to heal. He did not miss a beat. He was super responsive, present, and continued to make us feel that we were his top priority. We were wowed. 3) Most importantly, he really gets to know you. By the time we were done with the purchase of our home 5 years ago, he felt like family. This is so important!! Because he got to know our wants, our hopes for our family. He got to know our communication styles, but also our dysfunctions. My husband and I are Very different. John was able to navigate that respectfully, professionally, patiently allowing us to come to decisions together. 4) He is patient. There was never a sense of rush during the purchase of our home, the consideration of purchase of an investment property, or the sale of our home. This is an incredible plus as we have worked with other real estate agents who seem to want to push you into decisions. We never felt that this was the case with John. 5) His team. We worked closely with George who filled the role of John's right hand person so well. He helped coordinate the cleaning, staging, fixing up of our home before the sale. He even helped us move some of our things! He is kind, smart, and really on it as well. Besides George, John has in his pocket, contractors, stagers, painters, designers. For the next adventure we needed someone who knew the San Francisco market and the recommendation was John, without hesitation. The three best things about John during this transaction: 1) John knows San Francisco. Inside and out. When your goal is "move to San Francisco" there are so many options. John was able to provide guidance about what area we could look in given price and desired amenities. 2) John is committed. Review Based on the recommendation of not one but two trusted coworkers, my husband and I decided to work with John and Maitris team to buy our very first home. Throughout the entire, somewhat daunting process, John and Maitri were knowledgeable, available, and supportive. Working with them was easy and efficient, and throughout the process their rich knowledge of real estate (Maitri also has experience working on the mortgage brokering side) and San Francisco (Johns experience in the city is long and his knowledge of the ins and outs of SF is vast) made us feel comfortable and confident. As this was our first home purchase, we were hesitant to rush in to anything and took our time exploring neighborhoods and open houses to determine where we wanted to live and what we were looking for in a house. John and Maitri did not rush us and emphasized the importance of us feeling comfortable with any decision we made. They were patient with us as we made endless spreadsheets and over time changed our minds as to what we were looking for, what neighborhoods we were targeting, and what our budget looked like. Their support during this period allowed us to narrow in on what actually mattered to us and also to get a much better feel for the rhythm of the SF housing market especially with regards to pricing. However, we were very fortunate to find just such an agent in John Solaegui. Having closed on our new home in San Francisco after a long and very particular search, we know that we could not have possibly found such a perfect home for us to start our family without Johns guidance every step of the way. He clearly mapped out the process from the onset and quickly contacted all the needed people for staging , inspections, escrow, etc. He was always available when I had questions or suggestions and brought in other agents when necessary to help with open houses. John loves real estate and approaches the process as a personal interaction with his clients not just a business transaction. San Francisco is a fast-paced market, and John was able to get things done quickly to get the house sold to the right buyers. I would highly recommend John as a realtor.

Review John was the best. He had our complete trust and was always available to us for whatever question we had. This was our first home purchase and it was a difficult process due to the huge rush on houses and crazy price inflation. John helped us to keep confident and calm despite being outbid on several homes. John never pushed us to increase our house bids nor did he try to "upsell" us by only showing homes at the top end (or beyond) our price range.We actually had an offer accepted earlier in our housing search, but my fiancee and I decided to rescind the offer. John supported our decision 100% and gave us terrific advice through that process. He never once pushed us to go through with the offer even though it was going to mean more work for him and a delay in any commissions he would receive. We were very impressed with the amount of attention he gave us and how well he got to know us. Our first meeting was mostly just to learn about us as people and once he got to know us, he helped us to find the home that would best suit our personalities and our stated needs.I cannot say enough great things about John.
