I'm John Powers, the owner and team leader of Powers & Rawls at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices RW Towne Realty. I'm also a proud father of four and a believer that Virginia Beach is the best city in the world! Before real estate, I worked in tech sales, but I knew I wanted something more and felt called to build something deeper and rooted in trust, long-term relationships, and meaningful service. When Brenda Rawls, my wife Kaylee's grandmother and long-time top Virginia Beach realtor asked us to go into business with her, we decided to take that leap into real estate together as a couple. It's been one of the most rewarding decisions we've ever made! Today, I lead Powers & Rawls with a strong focus on strategy, integrity, and results. I believe exceptional real estate representation goes far beyond placing a home on the MLS. A strong marketing plan is essential. While many listings rely on photos alone, video allows us to tell a home's story and reach the most people possible in the shortest amount of time.
