John has all the qualifications you can ask for in a Realtor; experience, trust, professionalism, great negotiation skills, attention to details, persistence, and most likely, he was very pleasant to work with. My timeline to purchase a home wasn't perfectly ideal as we were initially impacted with Covid-19 which caused numerous hurdles along the way; from lender regulations changing, to shelter-in-place to finally running in a marathon of competition in a demanding real estate market. I must have looked at over a good volume of homes and lost out on several offers before I found the home that I desire. In our last transaction, John protected us in the way he wrote the contract for both the sell of our house and the purchase of our new house. We backed out of a house and could have potentially been homeless; however, John had a clause in the contract that allowed us to cancel the sell. In addition, he did not push us to buy the property we backed out of and was happy to show us other properties after the cancel of the purchase. Our buyers ended up backing out of purchasing our home after we were in contract on our new house. John sold our house faster and for more money the second time. He was clear in delivering all instructions and went the extra mile to be at our house for services when we couldn't be there. He's super pleasant and was considerate of our needs. There wasn't much negotiation to do, as we received an offer off the bat that we were willing to take, but we believe John steered us correctly in setting the price and working on a counter-offer that allowed us a couple of extra weeks to vacate. The only "could have been better" that we experienced was responsiveness via email. Our needs are likely greater than those of others because our availability is limited and we're just used to more responsiveness. We were first looking in Morgan Hill and were discouraged because there wasnt anything inside our price range - or what we thought was our price range anyway. ZillowVERIFIED We listed our condo in San Jose with John Fagan. I did not have any expectations going into the selling of our home, but I am more than impressed with John. Our condo was in a desirable area, but was in pending litigation. He did not sugar coat anything, he laid out the facts: we would need to have a cash buyer or find a lender that would finance with the litigation which generally requires a large down payment and good credit scores. Prior to listing the property, John found a lender that would finance the condo with the litigation. We had one showing and one open house and the condo was under contract. He worked with the seller's agent to get the financing in line and get the deal done. He did an amazing job! He sold the condo fast, for a great price, and in a far from ideal situation (litigation). He always had our best interest in mind when giving us advice and was always responsive to our questions. We are using John to buy our next home and will recommend him to everyone we know.
