John's knowledge of the area and his tap on the market trends were extremely helpful in our home buying process. While looking at prospective houses, John also gave us plenty of excellent advice on what things to look out for, or what expenses to expect over the short-term based on the condition and age of the house. His background in construction definitely helps in that regard. Once we decided on the house the Duke's team was responsive throughout the process and kept us informed and followed up with the lender, inspections etc. to make sure our closing went on without a hitch. We are very happy in the house we bought and plan to make it our home for years to come, but if/when time comes for a change we will definitely go with the Dukes again!

On the buy side, they worked day and night to make sure our offer went through, then stayed on top of all the next steps to make sure everything went smoothly. The first house we looked at only had a single full bathroom and for what we were looking for would not work. It appeared in Zillow there were 2, but it was 1.5 baths. We did a very short look at the house and then told John what we were after and off he went. Within an hour or so, Carrie in the back office computer world had us set up in the Collaboration Center with our criteria and we started getting potential matches. Love that aspect ... you can look and reject, highlight as possible etc. .. real nice. They both gave us excellent advise when making offers and finally were successful. They were very professional, very hard working and very responsive to everything we needed. ZillowVERIFIED John and I viewed a number of townhouses in the Apex - Holly Springs area. I was impressed on the very first viewing with his keen eye to the pluses and problems with the property. The Apex - Holly Springs area didn't work out for me because of the large volume of buyers in the market.I expanded my search to Sanford because homes were home were listed for longer periods of time. I found some new construction and that is where John's expertise really helped. He was able to walk through the home and point out construction issues and convey them to the builder for remedy before closing. Without his sharp eye, I would have settled for a home with a some defects.There is one problem left in the home regarding some cabinet faces and John had the builder provide a letter for remedy at closing which will result in the cabinet doors being replaced. After closing he told me that I was still his client and that if the doors were not handled satisfactorily to contact him for assistance. That was totally unexpected and what I would characterize as above and beyond.Each member of the Dukes' Team treated me with the utmost courtesy and respect knowing that I had not done this before and was pretty much in their hands.I would recommend this team to anyone!
