ZillowVERIFIED Tim McBrayer and Jim Allen helped us for the second time in purchasing a home and with selling a house at the same time. Choosing to work with them again was a no-brainer for us because they were so helpful, communicative, and knowledgeable the first time around. We decided to move forward with building a house this time, which was a first for us, and having their experienced guidance and assistance all along the way was really helpful (and calming for our nerves!). Everything from the first email we sent them, looking at listings, listing our old home for sale, working with their closing department, to even the ongoing communication after closing has been excellent. Jim listened to what we were looking for in a new house and immediately suggested we look at a particular lot to consider building - we hadnt even initially considered building or the neighborhood he suggested, but both turned out to be exactly what we wanted! Tim was incredibly helpful with all aspects of selling our home, for which I'm very grateful. It is clear to us why they are part of an elite group of Realtors. I cant see any reason we wouldnt use them for any possible future real estate needs, and we have happily given their names to others who have their own real estate needs!

ZillowVERIFIED We contacted Keli Smith with the Jim Allen Group to help us purchase a home in Cary, NC. We were moving back to the area after spending the last eight years in the Charleston, SC area and had a very tight timeline to find a home, purchase, and move. Our realtor Keli was amazing throughout the entire process. She truly went above and beyond for us so many times. She quickly helped us find the perfect house here in Cary. We already had an offer on our SC home so we made a contingent offer here. Our SC closing was delayed several times and Keli stayed in constant communication with us keeping us updated on exactly what we needed to know so we had the best possible chance of not losing the contract on the home here in Cary. The sale of our SC home eventually fell through and Keli worked with her broker to find solutions for us to still purchase the house in Cary. She even met the home inspector and used FaceTime to walk us through the findings the day of our home inspection so we felt good about our inspection process without having to travel to NC. The broker and closing attorney she recommended were very professional and knowledgeable and made our experience with the Jim Allen group a pleasant and memorable one. ZillowVERIFIED The Jim Allen Group was great to work with. We first started our journey about a year ago and were debating if we wanted to put our house on the market. We opted not to, but we did work with Tim McBrayer of Jim Allen to purchase a plot of land in the area. The whole process of buying land was extremely smooth because Tim has wonderful connections in the triangle area from everything from loan officers, to lawyers to builders to architects. When it came time to sell our home a year later, we didnt want to work with anyone but Tim. We had a ton of questions about the process, and Tim was extremely professional and prompt in getting back to us. Both my husband and I travel 80% of the time for work and Tim did his best to accommodate our schedules from meeting on the weekends, working through email and text, and taking the lead on certain tasks when our schedules wouldnt allow for it. Tim helped us to develop the strategy to sell our home. We worked with many of his connections and were able to get it on the market in 2 weeks. It sold within 21 days on the market very close to our full asking price. Given Tims professionalism, great communication skills, and willingness to go above and beyond for us, we would certainly work with him again and recommend him to anyone moving into the area.

I feel that the whole Jim Allen Group is very well organized and has some of the best resources available. We were trying to that perfect place sitting 500 miles away - but that did not create any issues at all as Tim went to each and every place we felt we wanted to see to video shoot it and sent the videos with his comments - and that was super critical in our pursuit. ZillowVERIFIED I fount this team to be unethical and misrepresented property that they had listed to get the sale. They also forced a dual representation from the same broker to double the commission. If you are a buyer, make sure you are working with agent from outside of the agency that is selling the property.

ZillowVERIFIED The Jim Allen group attempted to sell our home in Raleigh, NC. Although Jim Allen was our agent, more often than not he was too important to speak to us directly. The rep that did deal with us directly we were told was working only part time, at one point wasn't even working for them... had an irrigation business? We were promised a quick sale without having to lower our price. We had to lower it twice and were within just a few thousand dollars of having a sale and the Jim Allen group let our counter offer expire, and let our agent agreement expire without being able to negotiate a deal. Then the office staff threatened us saying that we could not sell our home using another agent and that we had to exclude any previous buyers, but failed to even send us the list of agents per the agreement. A bad experience for us, but we were referred by friends who had a good experience so I guess it depends on how many zeros are on the end of the dollar amount of your sale/purchase.
