1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Get approved for a home loan first so you know how much you can afford, especially with higher interest rates in WINTER 2022-2023. Know what payments you are comfortable with. Very important for condo buyers as only some condos are approved for FHA or VA home loans. As 2022 comes to an end, many homes are selling in 1-8 weeks. This gives buyers the opportunity to find the right home at their price.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Declutter... consider home staging! This shows your home, especially if it is vacant, in a whole new light. Makes the buyers feel at home, which encourages them to submit an offer. With increased inventory in some areas, a move-in ready home appeals to the majority of buyers. If you need to do some work to your home, we have an in-house concierge service to help with updating bathrooms, etc. I also have great recommendations for local contractors.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
Everyone... first time buyers, move up clients who sell a home/condo and purchase another, multi-million dollar buyers/sellers. Flippers, equestrian property owners.
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I recently listed a condo in Escondido for a personal friend. In 3 days we had 3 offers on her property. The process was so fast and easy, she was so happy when escrow handed over her proceeds check!
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
I worked in corporate marketing for a large real estate broker for 3 years before switching to the agent side. I have worked with some of our top agents in SD County over the past 20+ years, learning all sides of the business, and working in all areas from Lakeside to Rancho Santa Fe.
6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
BA in Advertising from Pepperdine University. I love marketing homes, and there are always new ways to learn, both for print media, as well as our very diversified ways of marketing online and with social media!
