Leaving my house and neighborhood of over 25 years was emotionally difficult, but I was fortunate to have Jennifer Martin and Mark VanLiew to guide me through the process.Jennifer and Mark gave me referrals for the work that needed to be done on my old house, which had been neglected because of health issues. They helped me schedule and coordinate the renovations and were available whenever I had questions or concerns. I sold my house the weekend it was listed, for a price well above what I expected, thanks to their advice on improvements that would not only entice buyers, but added value.I anticipated a long search for a new home. They arranged for me to get daily listings for houses that fit my criteria. Not seeing anything I liked, it was suggested that I spend a Sunday afternoon looking at a few that had some of the features I was looking for. After viewing half a dozen houses, it became obvious to me that I needed to change my criteria. As a result I found the home I wanted within the week. My new home is in a maintained community with major living area, master bedroom and laundry room all on the same floor. Since the house is only four years old, I don't anticipate any major repairs or renovations for quite some time. It is also close to shopping and restaurants with access to major highways. I enjoy the community activities and it didn't take long to make new friends. I couldn't be happier.Jennifer and Mark prepared me for every step of the process, from renovations and inspections, to the daunting paperwork. You could search for years, and you would not find a better realtor than Jennifer Martin. I just cant say enough good things about Jennifer and her partner, Mark. Jennifer and Mark went so far beyond the call of duty that I was in shock. Here are just a few of the things they did to increase the value of my house by $50,000 more than any other realtor had predicted: 1. When Jennifer and Mark staged my house, they went to the home store and bought accents exclusively for my house. They didnt reuse anything from someone elses house. I know, because I saw the price tags and the bags. Additionally, they brought lamps and some furniture. It took them a whole day and a half to finish, and it looked amazing. 2. Jennifer and Mark compiled an incredibly detailed package (and I mean package) of copious research to get us the best possible price for our house. 3. Mark went out into my yard and did yard work! He felt it needed to be cleaned up so our potential buyers would feel more positive about the grounds. Additionally, Jennifer went out and bought flowers and flower pots and planted them. 4. Jennifer organized all my tasks, like calling the utilities and signing my documents. She even made some various calls for me. 5. Jennifer and Mark relentlessly followed up with meaEUR" even months AFTER the sale. Unbelievable. 6. And most importantly, we ended up getting two full price offers at a $50,000 more asking price than any other realtor predicted. Unbelievable. Additionally, Jennifer and Mark helped me BUY my new home. They spent countless hours with me driving around the entire metro area so I could see everything. Their knowledge of the whole city was amazing. And, despite my picky tendencies, they helped me find the perfect house. And honestly, they made it fun. I'm so happy I listened to them and bought what I did. If I was going to summarize my review in one sentence, I would simply say that if you dont at least interview Jennifer and Mark, you are making a big mistake, and if you dont retain them, youre making a bigger one.
