FAQ
Buy the right home for your life, not just the best deal.
Many buyers become so focused on price, interest rates, or winning the negotiation that they forget they're choosing the place they'll wake up in every day.
Here are the top recommendations I give buyers:
Know your budget before you fall in love. Get fully underwritten if possible, not just pre-approved. This makes your offer stronger and helps you shop with confidence.
Buy for the next 5 to 10 years, not the next 12 months. Consider your future needs, such as family, a home office, schools, or aging parents.
Prioritize location. You can remodel a kitchen, but you can't change the neighborhood, school district, commute, or proximity to the beach.
Don't skip inspections. Even in a competitive market, know what you're buying. A few hundred dollars spent on inspections can save thousands later.
Keep some cash in reserve. Don't spend every dollar on the down payment. Homeownership comes with unexpected repairs and maintenance.
Don't let emotions drive negotiations. It's okay to love a home, but stay objective. A good Realtor will help you negotiate strategically while protecting your interests.
Think about resale value before you buy. Even if you plan to stay for years, ask yourself, "Would this home appeal to future buyers?" Features like location, floor plan, natural light, and parking tend to hold value.
Work with a Realtor who educates rather than pressures you. The right agent should help you understand your options, point out potential concerns, negotiate on your behalf, and make you feel confident in your decisions.
Your goal isn't to sell your home. Your goal is to create the conditions that make buyers compete for it.
Here are the key pieces of advice I give sellers:
Price it strategically from the beginning. The first two weeks on the market are the most important. A well-priced home often attracts more buyers, which can lead to multiple offers and a higher final sales price.
Prepare the home before it hits the market. Declutter, deep clean, touch up paint, improve curb appeal, and make small repairs. Buyers decide how they feel about a home within seconds of walking through the front door.
Depersonalize the space. Help buyers picture themselves living there by removing excess personal photos and unique décor.
Invest in professional photography and marketing. Most buyers see your home online before they ever schedule a showing. High-quality photos, video, and a strong marketing strategy make a significant difference.
Be flexible with showings. The easier it is for buyers to see your home, the more opportunities you'll have to receive offers.
Listen to market feedback. If you're getting showings but no offers, buyers are telling you something. The market always provides valuable feedback.
Don't focus only on the highest price. Evaluate the entire offer, including financing, contingencies, timelines, and the strength of the buyer. Sometimes the best offer isn't the highest one.
Work with an agent who has a plan, not just a sign. Marketing, negotiation, communication, and follow-through all play a major role in achieving the best outcome.
I've had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, including first time homebuyers, move up buyers, investors, and homeowners exploring whether it's the right time to sell. Every client has unique goals, and I enjoy taking the time to understand what's most important to them so I can provide guidance tailored to their situation.
My approach is relationship based. I believe in educating my clients, communicating clearly, and advocating for their best interests throughout the entire process. Whether someone is buying their first home, searching for an investment property, or preparing to sell a home they've owned for many years, my goal is to make the experience as smooth, informed, and successful as possible.
I also have extensive experience in customer service and property management through my work with short term rentals, which has strengthened my communication, negotiation, problem solving, and attention to detail. Those skills translate directly into helping my real estate clients feel confident and well represented.
One of my favorite recent transactions was helping a first time homebuyer purchase his very first home. After meeting with him and understanding his goals, I introduced him to one of my trusted lending partners, who has more than 30 years of experience in the mortgage industry. Having an experienced lender on our team gave him confidence and helped streamline the financing process from the very beginning.
Within a week, we found a home that checked all of his boxes. We prepared a strong, competitive offer, and it was accepted. From there, everything moved efficiently, and he successfully closed escrow in just two weeks.
What I enjoyed most about this transaction was seeing how excited and relieved my client was. Buying a first home can feel overwhelming, but by surrounding him with the right professionals, maintaining clear communication, and staying proactive throughout the process, we were able to make the experience smooth and enjoyable.
This transaction reinforced my belief that great real estate isn't just about finding the right house. It's about building the right team, communicating well, and helping clients feel supported and confident every step of the way.
I first got started in real estate in 2003 in Reno, Nevada, where I discovered my passion for helping people navigate one of the most important decisions of their lives. In 2016, I relaunched my real estate career in California and began building my business through open houses, networking, property management, and managing short term rentals.
Those experiences taught me the value of building relationships, listening carefully, and understanding what people truly want in a home. I enjoy getting to know my clients, learning about their goals, and helping them find the right property or the right buyer.
Listing homes is one of my greatest passions. I love every stage of the process, from preparing a home for the market and developing a customized marketing strategy to negotiating on my clients' behalf. My goal is always to achieve the highest and best possible outcome while making the experience as smooth and stress free as possible.
For me, real estate is about more than buying and selling homes. It's about building trust, creating lasting relationships, and helping people move confidently into the next chapter of their lives.
Yes. My experience extends beyond traditional real estate sales. I have worked extensively in property management and short term rentals, which has given me valuable insight into marketing properties, maximizing value, managing contracts, solving problems efficiently, and providing exceptional customer service.
I have also worked with both buyers and sellers, helping first time homebuyers achieve homeownership and assisting homeowners in preparing and marketing their homes for sale. These experiences have strengthened my communication, negotiation, and organizational skills while reinforcing the importance of being responsive and attentive to every client's unique needs.
I believe that education in real estate is ongoing. I stay informed about market trends, contracts, and industry changes so I can provide my clients with knowledgeable guidance and help them make confident, well informed decisions.
Whether someone is buying their first home, selling a longtime residence, or exploring investment opportunities, my goal is to provide professional service, clear communication, and an exceptional client experience from beginning to end.
