What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?

Don’t focus only on the list price. In the East Bay, pricing strategy can vary significantly from one home to another. I help my buyers understand the comparable sales, disclosures, inspections, competition and potential costs before deciding what a home is worth to them. My job is to give you the information and strategy you need to make a confident decision without pushing you beyond what feels right.

2.  What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?

Start with a plan before spending money. Not every home needs a major renovation to sell well. I help sellers identify the improvements that are actually worth making, address issues that could concern buyers and develop a pricing and marketing strategy specific to the property. Good preparation matters, but so does knowing where not to spend.

I work with buyers and sellers throughout the East Bay, from first-time buyers and relocating families to longtime homeowners, move-up buyers and luxury clients. I also work with people navigating more complicated transitions where there may be a lot of moving pieces. Every situation is different, which is one reason I keep my business very hands-on and personal.

I recently helped buyers navigate a competitive East Bay purchase where there were a lot of details to work through before they felt comfortable making an offer. We spent time reviewing the disclosures, inspections, comparable sales and potential costs so they understood both the property and the competition. We put together a strong offer based on what made sense for them, stayed closely involved through closing, and they ended up with a home they were genuinely excited about. Those are the transactions I love most—when good preparation helps clients feel confident about a big decision.

5.  How did you get started in Real Estate?

Before real estate, I was a nurse. After moving to the East Bay and raising my family here, I became increasingly interested in the homes, neighborhoods and communities around me. Real estate turned out to be a natural fit because so much of what I valued in nursing—listening, advocating for people, paying attention to details and staying calm when things get complicated—translates directly to taking care of clients during a real estate transaction.

6.  Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?

My background as a nurse taught me to listen carefully, ask the right questions, manage a lot of details and stay calm under pressure. In real estate, I bring that same approach to negotiations, inspections, disclosures and the many decisions that come up during a transaction.
