ZillowVERIFIED In my life I have worked with five real estate agents; out of those five, Jeff Garthwait is the only one I would recommend without reservation. At each stage of the process Jeff listened to what we were looking for, made suggestions, kept us informed of new properties which were entering the market within our specifications, and provided honest evaluations of the homes as we looked at them. While going through houses Jeff kept an eye out for issues we might not have noticed while also providing rough estimates of what remediating those problems would cost us after a sale closed; if a home was going to be exceedingly difficult to bring up to snuff or more work than it would be worth, he would say so and we appreciated that. Once we found the house we wanted, Jeff engaged to try and get us the best price possible, keeping us updated on what the other agent was saying and what we could expect; after a deal was reached he continued to keep us informed with regular updates on what to expect next and did so all the way through closing. Beyond closing, Jeff also assisted us by coordinating the resolution of an issue that was only discovered on final inspection; we know he had no legal obligation to do this but having his help to resolve the problem was invaluable and something we appreciated greatly. This being our first sale, we had a lot of questions about the process, and Jeff was so patient and knowledgeable he put us at ease right away. He was very hands on as we prepared for showings, walking through our entire house and providing recommendations about how to de-clutter or re-arrange to make the house ready for showings which we really appreciated. ZillowVERIFIED Short Version: Jeff is kind, personal, and genuinely listened to us through the entire process. He never made us feel rushed, but always made us feel we had support for our home search and sale. He is incredibly responsive, honest, and always met us where we were; which made our experience amazing. Long Version: My family worked with Jeff to try to find our permanent home as well as sell our home we were in at the time. We had a pretty specific budget and taste, and while we werent in a huge rush to move, we also didnt want to miss on any opportunities. Jeff took all of our requests and met with us in person, fielded phone calls, worked with us around our busy schedule (we both have full time jobs, and had a 4 year old and 3 month old at the time). He took time to show us a wide variety of options, including showing us what options wed have if we made adjustments in budget or location. We looked at a bunch of houses, and even had one that we liked but changed our mind on. Jeff never made us feel like we were being too demanding and always met us with our needs. We finally found the exact house we wanted in our preferred area and in our budget. We wanted to move on it and he helped us through the process by clearly helping us through each step along the way. Jeff also talked with us about what we could do to help get our home sale ready, and even recommended some professionals when the people we called fell through. We had to delay a couple times due to sicknesses in the family, but once we were ready to move Jeff jumped in and made sure the right pictures got taken, the listing got up, and the result was an offer within 12 hours. We waited the weekend and ended up with multiple good offers, and had one chosen and the home turned around and sold promptly. All of this while also dealing with initial wave of Stay at home orders of the Covid-19 situation. Were happy in our new home, and happy that our old home sold fast and for a great price.

ZillowVERIFIED When we started home shopping, Jeff asked us lots of questions regarding what we wanted, where we wanted to be, style of home, you name it. He provided us with listing options and showed us a number of homes, even showing us some that we wanted to see but knew we likely wouldnt buy. He was very helpful in determining certain features today we would like and ones that would not be something we wanted to deal with. When our dream listing came up, he arranged a showing right away for a Saturday night, in the middle of a snow storm. We made an offer right away, and he was able to get us concessions from the sellers that we werent sure we should even ask for. Jeff was able to get our closing set for the date and time we wanted, and we closed as expected. Overall, I think Jeff showed us over 30 homes, and gave us really good opinions on the homes we were looking at. We never felt pressured to make an offer on any home, and when we were ready to make an offer Jeff was diligent in making the offer strong enough that we received the yes answer we were looking for. I would recommend anyone to use Jeff if you are purchasing a home!
