We had reached out early in the process before we were fully prepared to sell and relocate but they were really patient and helpful as we figured out what was best for us. Jeff was great about crunching numbers for us and looking into best possible scenarios for us financially so that we could weigh out whether to wait to sell or do it now. They never made us feel rushed or on anyone else's time frame but our own. I felt they genuinely wanted to help us make a good decision for us. Once we decided it was time to make this move, they knew just what to suggest to showcase our home in the best possible way and were so tactful and considerate in their approach. It was especially helpful that they have an extensive contact list (from cleaners, to painters, to contractors, to landscapers, and even movers) which they have established relationships with so reaching out and getting work done was a breeze. People were happy to fit us into their schedule with fair and reasonable prices with just a mention of the Chen Team! And it was well-managed by both Jeff and Eva that we hardly had to do a thing! We chose to move out to make the listing process easier and after we did, Jeff and Eva managed the entire process - scheduling the painter, checking on cleaners, meeting the stagers. Once we moved out, we didn't have to worry about a thing. They handled it all for us so we could focus on the next part of our move. I also loved how adaptable they were when we asked them to move our listing date one week earlier. They were able to pivot and re-align all the pieces of the process without a hitch! They are truly a wonder! Every step of the process, we felt they handled with care and close attention to detail. It felt like we were their only client! I know that is highly doubtful but they truly made us feel that way! They spent a good amount of time with us strategizing, and not only looking at recent comps but getting details on those particular transactions to make inferences about our current situation, and looking picture-by-picture at comps to help us figure out a listing price, and then again through a pre-emptive offer situation which could have been really tricky. They were on the phone making calls and working hard to help us to best evaluate our situation before making a final decision. In the end, we got our first pre-emptive offer only hours after listing and our second pre-emptive offer the next day. We had accepted an offer before our first open house! During the escrow process, The Chen Team managed every part of it while staying in close communication with us so that we were always aware of what was going on. They even thought of asking for certain things in a way that would help us with our next step (a step that didn't even involve them!) They think of everything and it is clear they are very experienced and learn from every transaction to improve the next. We had one hiccup with a new vendor we had brought to the table. They were open to using them despite never using them before but it turned out we ran into a little snafu towards the end. Jeff made all the hard phone calls and really went to bat for us. He even had pictures that he had taken previously which helped our situation. We felt so fortunate to have worked with them. Everything went so smoothly and easily with an outcome that was inconceivable to us, and we felt they went above and beyond for us in every possible way. The things that stood out to us most about them are their responsiveness, attention to detail, and relationships. On responsiveness, they were always prompt in answering questions we have any time of the day and would set up tour schedules immediately upon request, even accompany us in the midst of the worst rain storm the bay area has seen in years. On attention to detail, we learned so much about what to look for in the mountains of documents thanks to the items they would highlight to us in their review. In some of the older homes we toured together, they would also provide great insight on potential issues and costs to update or remodel from looking in detail at the home's condition. Finally, the big thing that really set Jeff and Eva apart that gave us a huge leg up in the process is their relationships and connections with the broader network of professionals. So many times they would already have established rapport with the seller agent or know about the details surrounding a comparable sale because of their network. Even the lender they recommended has been amazing to work with. In the end, we attribute a huge part of our success in getting our ideal home to Jeff and Eva's support and advice, especially around the importance of making a good impression and having a great cover letter. Through it all, they never gave us any pressure when we wanted to take a different approach or passed judgment when we held unrealistic expectations.

ZillowVERIFIED When my wife suggested we should make it our goal to buy a house this year (2020 of all years!), there were a lot of questions and uncertainties for how to make that happen. We had heard enough horror stories from friends about their experience during non-pandemic times that we knew this was going to be quite the chore; especially as first time homebuyers. Jeff and Eva quickly put those concerns to rest, as they clearly understood that process can be just as important as results -both of which they excelled at. For each stage of the home buying process, Jeff and Eva mapped out the steps ahead, explained what each involved, and expanded with more information as needed. They also reviewed all documents ahead of time when needed to highlight any information requiring additional attention; such as any disclosures about a particular property. They even came prepared with snacks and drinks for refueling amidst the long days of moving from one place to the next, because quite frankly it was really easy to forget to fuel up without the reminder. Throughout each visitation, Jeff and Eva were thorough in providing us with various considerations for each of the properties we saw. In the end though, the stars aligned and it turned out the first one really had everything we were looking for and more. Then came the next anxious step of making an offer the sellers would accept but without overpaying. There were numerous paths for how to proceed, but ultimately Jeff and Eva helped us make a successful offer without going over the asking price nor engaging in a bidding war; two things we really wanted to avoid. As we entered contract and began working with a lender to finalize our mortgage, Jeff and Eva continued to help by sharing a calendar outlining when various documents or tasks would be due, talking us through what they meant, and advising how to resolve any outstanding issues (like action items from an inspection report) should they come up. As a result, we had no anxieties handling the paperwork as Jeff and Eva had already provided us with context and understanding of what the documents meant and what actions they would necessitate (if any). The stellar service didnt end upon receiving the keys however. Committed to excellence as they are, both have reached out to us in the weeks since to make sure everything is as expected and to share some tips for new homebuyers as we settle in. If anyone in the area is looking to buy or rent a home, we definitely recommend giving Jeff and Eva a call first.
