Jeff Char was so helpful from the very beginning. I knew very little about the home buying process, and Jeff took the time to explain the entire process that was easy for me to understand. He sat with me for several hours to break it all down. I know that he didn't have to do that, and it really made a positive impression on me. This was my first home buying experience and he definitely gave me the confidence and tools necessary for the process. Jeff was clear in communication throughout the entire home buying experience, and was always patient with my questions and concerns.The part that stands out for me the most was the closing process. COVID 19 really shook things up. My closing date was constantly changing due to the home being a new construction. I also had a work trip that kept getting postponed. Of course, the closing and the work trip happened at the same time. This is where Jeff really saved me! I had returned from my work trip but was on quarantine. Jeff still made sure my closing happened on time by conducting the final walk through with the developer, and was able to get keys for me, all while streaming it virtually while I was quarantined. He later left the keys in a lockbox for me to pick up on my own. I was so grateful for this! I can't thank Jeff enough for all the work he did for me! Thank you Jeff!

After living on Oahu for over five years, I decided to make the leap and purchase a property here in Honolulu. Jeff took my initial requirements for a place, and using his local knowledge and expertise, proceeded to show me various properties and further helped me refine my requirements until he found the right unit in the right location. Unfortunately, that unit was a short sale and the sellers were not responsive. So Jeff found another unit in the same property that exceeded my expectations. After helping me prepare my offer and working with the seller and the inspectors, I was able to close on the property quickly and was able to get some renovation work done before having to move in. Jeff was an asset throughout the entire process and his organization and thoroughness made the purchase a breeze. You cant go wrong with Jeff as your real estate agent.

My wife and I met Jeff Char while we were randomly looking at open houses around the Hawaii Kai / Kalama Valley area. We really appreciated his friendliness and "no pressure" salesmanship. What made us stick with Jeff Char as our realtor was our experience with him during our initial set of open house tours. I don't write reviews often, but I definitely owe one to Jeff Charat Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Advantage Realty. He secured us the first apartment we looked at in Hawaii, then we bought our house on Oahu with him the first day we looked at houses a year later. Three years after he topped it off by spending his own time on his weekends off to help us prep the home and then he sold that house for above asking in FOUR HOURS after we listed it. It closed a couple weeks ago and this thank you is overdue, but you are batting 3 for 3 with 3 home runs Jeff. Tara and I can't thank you enough. Best in the business!

We found Jeff through a cold call to Better Homes and Gardens, but was extremely impressed at Jeffs willingness to go above and beyond to help us purchase our first home. We explained our preferences and the area we wanted to purchase with the budget we had in mind and Jeff presented several options until we locked into one property. Our first offer was declined, but Jeff had it covered! By creating postcards and mailing them to all tenants in the building of a solid buyer, he was able to get one homeowner to negotiate a private sale to us. The offer was even cheaper than we offered on the first property which saved us roughly $50k from the first offer. We couldnt believe this was possible. After our purchase, Jeff was even kind enough to have follow up calls to see how we were settling in and enjoying the new place. Jeffs creative resourcefulness and calm, cool style has made it easy for us to recommend him to all our friends and family. If you need a realtor, Jeff will definitely take care of you! Much mahalo Jeff, youve exceed our expectations and couldnt have asked for more in a realtor and friend.

My wife and I were first time home buyers and didn't know where to start. We were nervous and clueless when we walked into the office of Better Homes and Garden Real Estate Advantage Reality and was met with Jeff. Jeff was very personable which made us immediately feel comfortable and less nervous. He introduced himself with a smile on his face and showed us around the office before even sitting us down to talk about the process of looking for a home. He was very thorough in his explanations and knowledgeable about the steps of buying a home. My wife and I were so impressed that we asked him to be our realtor and to help us find the perfect place. Jeff made sure that we got all the latest listings specific to our needs and wants and even drove us to see the places that sparked our interest. He would walk us through the pros and cons of each property we seen and would always make sure we were well informed. When we finally found a place we really wanted, Jeff started the process of placing an offer and printed out how the timeline would go from that point on. Jeff kept in touch with us the whole way through and was available to answer all of our questions even when it came up late in the night and after his work hours. He would always give us courtesy calls to see how we were doing and to ask if we needed help with anything, which we appreciated.He would show up to our home inspections to make sure everything went well and even helped us ask questions to benefit our decision, we truly believe he had our best interest at heart. As first time buyers we couldn't have asked for a better realtor and we're glad we chose Jeff. The whole process was flawless and Jeff was there in the end to hand us our keys with a big bow placed on the front door. He found us our perfect forever home.
