FAQ
1. What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
When buying a home, stay focused on what truly matters to you. Before you start touring properties, get crystal clear on your budget and have your financing lined up. Pre-approval isn’t just paperwork; it shows sellers you’re serious and it helps you shop confidently.
Make a list of your must-haves vs. nice-to-haves. Homes will always have trade-offs, and being honest with yourself about what matters most will save you time and stress.
Lean on your agent’s local expertise. Markets vary street by street. A strong agent will help you understand pricing, neighborhood trends, and what to watch out for.
Don't skip inspections or due diligence. That fresh paint might be hiding something. Protect yourself by fully understanding the home’s condition and any future costs.
Most importantly, pace yourself. Buying a home is both a financial and emotional decision. Listen to your instincts, trust the process, and choose a place that feels right for your life today and your plans tomorrow.
2. What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Price it right the first time.
Buyers can smell an overpriced home from across the county. If you start too high and then drop, you look desperate. Your first two weeks on market are your golden window. Don’t waste them.
Make the house boringly clean.
Not “I wiped the counters.” I mean hotel lobby clean. Declutter so aggressively that your friends think you moved out. Buyers want to see space and possibility, not your personality or your ceramic chicken collection.
Fix the obvious stuff.
Loose doorknob, dripping faucet, broken blinds… handle it. Those are tiny things that whisper “this place hasn’t been cared for.” And buyers listen.
Trust the data more than your feelings.
Neighborhood comps and market trends matter. Your emotional attachment doesn’t raise appraised value one cent. Your agent should show you real numbers and you should believe them.
Be easy to work with.
Flexible showings, clear communication, fast decisions. Buyers choose the path of least stress. Don’t be the stressful seller.
Selling your home should put you in control, not in chaos. Look at the market with clear eyes, prepare your home well, and make choices that reflect your long-term goals, not your sentimental moments.
You deserve a strong outcome. Let’s get you there.
3. What types of clients have you worked with?
I’ve worked with a wide range of clients, each with different goals, timelines, and styles of decision-making:
• First-time homebuyers who need guidance at every step and benefit from clear explanations and steady support.
• Growing families who are looking for more space, better schools, or the right neighborhood fit.
• Downsizers and empty-nesters who want simplicity, efficiency, or the next chapter to feel lighter.
• Lake and second-home buyers who want lifestyle, privacy, or that special getaway feel.
• Investors who are focused on numbers, rental potential, and long-term return.
• Relocating buyers and sellers who need strong communication, local insight, and smooth logistics from a distance.
Every client comes in with a different story. My job is to listen first, understand their priorities, and guide them through the process with clarity and confidence. No generic templates. No one-size-fits-all approach. Just real support tailored to real people.
4. Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
One recent transaction that stands out was helping a young couple purchase their first home Jasper. They were excited, but also understandably overwhelmed by the process. We started by clarifying their budget, priorities, and must-haves, and then moved through homes that aligned with their lifestyle rather than just price points.
When we found the right property, we moved quickly. There were multiple offers, so I helped them structure a strong, clean offer that highlighted both their financing strength and flexibility. The seller responded well, and we secured the home without overpaying.
Throughout inspections and negotiations, we stayed proactive and solutions-focused. There were a few repairs needed, and we were able to negotiate a credit that made the transition easier for my clients without jeopardizing the deal.
Watching them walk into their first home on closing day with the right fit, at the right price, was a reminder of why this work matters. It was a smooth, steady process because we listened, stayed prepared, and stayed patient.
5. How did you get started in Real Estate?
I got started in real estate because I’ve always been drawn to helping people through meaningful life transitions. For years, I had friends and family asking for advice about neighborhoods, home features, and market trends, and I realized how much I enjoyed guiding those conversations. Eventually, I took that interest more seriously, earned my license, and stepped into the industry full-time.
From the beginning, what mattered to me was doing this work with honesty and care. Buying or selling a home isn’t just a transaction, it’s someone’s everyday life, finances, and future. I wanted to be the person who could make that process feel grounded, well-managed, and supported. That’s still what drives me today.
6. Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
Yes. I’ve invested in ongoing training and certifications that directly support my clients’ best interests. I’ve completed extensive coursework in pricing strategy, market analysis, contract negotiation, and buyer and seller representation. I also stay current with local market data and trends across Jasper, Smith Lake, and the surrounding areas so my guidance is based on what’s actually happening in our market right now- not assumptions.
Beyond formal training, I spend time studying property values at the neighborhood level and tracking shifts in inventory, demand, and buyer behavior. That means my clients get accurate pricing advice, strong negotiation support, and a well-informed strategy from start to finish.
My goal is simple: to help you make confident decisions with clear information and a steady plan forward.
