We met Janine at an open house she was hosting. While we were not really in true house-hunting mode, we liked keeping up on opportunities. Janine is very friendly, but more importantly, she impressed us with her honesty about the pluses/minuses of the property we were visiting, much different than with other realtors with whom we've dealt. She followed up with some other suggested properties that seemed consistent with our preferences and the more we worked with her, the better she understood what might get us to commit to a new house, and she invited us to view a condo that she thought would attract but was not yet listed. Boy, she got it right! We ended up making an offer before the property hit the MLS, and Janine helped greatly with the negotiations by giving us useful market data, ultimately resulting in success. We then turned to selling the condo in which we lived for the past 10 years, and again Janine's market knowledge helped us set an aggressive but fair asking price, which attracted multiple offers resulting in a sale above the ask. In both the purchase and sale processes, Janine handled coordination with attorney, realtors and other resources with true professionalism. My husband and I worked with Janine Berger-Gillet this summer to buy our first home.
