ZillowVERIFIED I am a real estate agent myself so when I called Janie to inquire on a home for my daughter to reside in in Truckee, I had all intentions of representing our side if we decided to purchase a home there. Janie was the listing agent and suggested I speak to Kristi who is from her team and works primarily with buyers since I wasn't from the area and had lots of questions. After speaking to Kristi, I agreed it was in our best interest to be represented considering I am not a resident of Tahoe nor am I familiar with all of the neighborhoods and HOA's. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. Kristi went over and above her call of duty when I was concerned with the parking arrangements. She and several of her coworkers drove over to see if all of their cars would fit in the driveway since this particular HOA had strict parking policies. Kristi was also very responsive and helpful arranging a few of the inspections and/or getting additional quotes during our due diligence process. That couple 'didnt work out' but i met with him and ended up being persuaded into listing the property. Troy affixed a key box and put in no additional effort for the next 6 months. The property did not sell. A few months later i received the same letter from Troy- turns out they simply use this fishing tactic and are completely lying. same letter, same everything- youd think that he would be intelligent enough not to send the same lie to a client he already failed? I guess the fact that he is not says it all, and explains why our house didnt sell.We listed with another agent that did a single open house and sold it within a week. Lesson learned the hard way...

ZillowVERIFIED We were very lucky to have found Anna when my wife, Jane, and I decided to purchase our vacation home at Truckee. Anna is the perfect model of a real estate agent. She is always up to date with neighborhood listings, very knowledgeable with the Truckee area, provides valuable guidance with regards to Pros and Cons in the home quality and property location (schools, commute, amenities [tahoe donner, etc.], road noise, ski resorts, etc.). Anna and her team (Rachael) were always available for site visits and very punctual with their response. I would say that this process of purchasing our vacation home has been fun and very smooth because of the way Anna handled the entire process of site visits, submitting offers and price negotiations. With regards to site visits, Anna came well prepared with print out docs and the travel plan already defined with regards to travel time and routes...she is very detailed and always considering the buyer's needs during the whole buying process (Did not ever pressure the buyer on anything). She was very transparent in guiding me on $ offers and counter offers. We started looking for our home in Dec 2016, we ping'd Anna for some home viewing during the christmas break where she made herself readily available. During that time we looked at 10 homes...then another 10 homes in January 2017.... with luck, we made an offer for a home in late January and closed escrow in late February. My wife and I are located in the Bay area so a lot of documentation were done remotely and Anna and her team (Rachael) were always on top of deliverables and status updates. Anna and sharp team were always available when you needed them. I highly recommend the Anna and the Sharp team. Simply the best!

I thought our expectations were unrealistic, but Janie found us our home. Janie has a relaxed approach, so we never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision. However, Janie always had immediate information and answers for us due to her years of experience and lets get it done personality. Kristi has young kids of her own, so she was able to help us narrow down on Tahoe Donner as our ideal location with its amazing family amenities and sense of community. As I mentioned, we are extremely picky buyers who wanted a real deal, so we surprised ourselves that we were able to find a home with Janie in just a few trips to Tahoe. Janie spent entire weekends with us showing us as many homes as we wanted to see throughout the Tahoe basin. When we explored making offers on a few homes, Janie was able to immediately connect with agents and get us answers to help us make decisions. When we explored offering significantly less than the asking price, Janie never discouraged us and always said lets just try it. I really feel Janie and Kristis accessibility and drive helped us find our home with just a few trips. However, the real testament to Janies team was during the purchase/close process. When we made the offer, we offered significantly less than asking. Janie never once discouraged us from being aggressive with the offer. She supported us throughout the negotiations and even managed to get a response within hours (which was remarkable since the sellers were out of state). We purchased our home with a 30-day close, which required Janie and her team to be available at all hours of the day to respond to inspections, etc. The sellers agent is known to be extremely aggressive to the point of being challenging to work with, which was the case in our transaction. Janie and her team were excellent at managing the drama and even met with the sellers agent to keep the transaction alive. Our escrow occurred during the holidays, so there was naturally stress. Janie Sharp understood the situation and did not attempt to extort money out of a turnip (me) in order to close a deal.
