We interviewed several real estate brokers when selling our Highland Park, IL, home in late 2021, and narrowed it down to two brokers, both of whom seemed very qualified. One was quite conservative and recommended a selling price that I thought was aEURoereasonableaEUR?. Janet came in, looked around, suggested a few changes, rearranged the furniture a bit in several rooms, and said she thought the home would sell quickly at a 25% higher price than the other broker. We thought about it and retained Janet and her team. Her friendliness, common sense, responsiveness and aEURoecan doaEUR? attitude, in addition to knowing the market in detail on the North Shore, sold us. The first day on the market, we had three offers. We did not accept those offers at Janets advice, but waited about a week longer and accepted an essentially full price offer. Janet held our hands during the closing process and always was there to answer questions. We eventually closed and give all aEURoeglory and praiseaEUR? to Janet Borden and her team.
