We knew we wanted to live closer to the coast, did some research and outreach to a few realtors in Coos and Curry County, OR. Jan Delimont with ReMax South Coast was immediately responsive. Between Jan's negotiation skills and her talented Broker/Associate, Robin Richards, we felt the most welcome with this team. We were able to drive up north for a weekend where Jan was kind enough to show us 8 of 10 properties chosen to tour. There were a couple hiccups with some sellers not paying attention to tour times, which Jan had no control over yet negotiated well. Jan educated us about Coos County, talked about some tourism features, favorite beaches while showing us around. Robin assisted me with the other paperwork, at times taking me by the hand, as a 1st time home buyer with a packed weekly job schedule. Robin's flexible communication practices was much appreciated. The Remax South Coast process throughout and month's after closing has been nothing short of WONDERFUL working with this ReMax team. Being offered a warm-hearted "welcome home" gift was a delight! ZillowVERIFIED Jan has sold several properties, vacant lots in different parts of town, for me this last year and done so in a weak market for lots. All were under contract within 45 days of listing. All were priced within her market analysis pricing range. One was a small all cash transaction, one where commission money was scant, and it was complicated because of title issues and took nearly 5 months of backs and forths so make the deal happen. Jan stuck with it and kept the buyer with her all the way through 5 extensions of closing. Jan gets it done.

ZillowVERIFIED We hired Jan & her team in January 2020 to help sell our recently deceased fathers home. Jan was referred to us and had good online reviews. She disappointed us from the start. The day the house was listed, a neighbor we sent to her wanted to make an offer on the house. From that point on, they did not deliver promised services. They used an online picture of the house in which my dad was in the photo to originally list the house. We told them in January we did not want this picture used for the listing. We had to ask for other pictures to be taken and posted. We had to ask for the staging that was originally promised. We had to call to get a status versus the constant communication we were promised. She did send us a letter apologizing for the lack of service we were receiving and offered to reduce the seller & buyers fees. However, this offer was contingent on us signing an agreement that we would not publicly share our experience. The two, together, make a "dynamic duo" with each bringing their distinct strengths to the process. They are highly skilled at communicating with each other so that no matter which representative I talk with (or email, or text), the other knows the same information. Their expertise about the buying process and the counties we explored (Coos and Curry) is vast and extensive as they are long-time locals. Lastly, they study the homes they present so they are very knowledgeable about them ahead of time; as a first timer, that is extraordinarily appreciated! My plan changed so I am not able to evaluate negotiations; however, I would expect five stars based on the rest of the experience with this strong team.

She is not very mobile and I live 220 miles away making it difficult to administer the sales process. Jan was recommended by a friend and my mom and I couldn't have been more impressed. Jan performed a detailed comparative market analysis that was easy to understand. She was also very patient and extremely helpful with a few challenges we faced with the process. After looking at dozens of homes I actually decided to look elsewhere (New Orleans) because I thought I wouldn't find a home but I was drawn to Oregon so I decided to give it one more try. After 2 days of looking at several more homes it seemed like I would return to LA again with no home. But I came across a home, Jan showed it to me & it has turned out to be a Castle! This home is a perfect fit for me & my 4 dogs! ZillowVERIFIED ...the rare quality that Jan brings to her craft is that, what you see really is what you get. It is that solid mid-west (Kansas) mindset. Very honest, straight forward. I should explain, I am not very trusting in nature. My paranoia is that all realtors work for the commission or the "deal". Crackling fireplaces will not sell me a home. Jan just doesn't do all that fluff. She is very market savvy, every house I found on the internet she already knew all about. She is doing her "homework" every day, and she works for you, if the "deal" isn't right for you, she will keep looking. We'd drive to the coast and look at three or four places, then drive back home.... and forget what we looked at.....and start all over the next time. She got the house shown immediately after it got listed, had great pictures on her website and we got an offer within two weeks and closed a couple of months later.
