We feel very fortunate to have had Jamie as our agent. We were moving to a new state, making our experience more complicated and drawn out. We first visited Elizabethtown more than a year before moving here. We met Jamie and he introduced us to the area. For the next year, we stayed in touch. Jamie kept us up to date on the market. We also kept current on our families, as our relationship continued to develop. When we found a buyer for our home and opened escrow, we had a set amount of time to open an escrow on our new home in Kentucky. We came here for a weekend, and Jamie showed us 14 homes in 2 days. We settled on one and soon had an accepted offer. We engaged his home inspector, who gave us a thorough look at the condition of the home. The indications were that it had some structural problems. While we weighed the decision of whether or not to continue with the purchase, Jamie had a sleepless night. When we decided to pull out of the purchase, Jamie was relieved, We were then left with a few days to get another property under contract, or lose our buyers. We could not get away from work and view home in person, so Jamie did video tours of a few more homes. He described the neighborhoods, measured rooms, and went over every detail. The homes wouldnt fit our family needsaEUR|one after another. Then we came to the last house. Jamie could quickly see that this home met all of our criteria. He described the feel of the rooms, measured, commented on his perspective, aEURoeThey didnt waste any space when they designed this homeaEUR?. We put in an offer and it was accepted. Then, the process of completing the purchase started. Jamie made sure the escrow we engaged was professional, and he helped us through the entire process. My husband and I recently purchased a second home with the Jamie as our realtor. We wanted a lake home in KY but live in FL. We hired Jamie in April 2016 to sell our home in Elizabethtown. In four months, we had a few showings and received one offer, which was unacceptable. We were very discouraged, because we were told the market in our area was hot. We were offering a high quality home in a very good neighborhood with little interest. We finally confronted Jamie after finding out on our own that our home was not being advertised in our area. He admitted it was too expensive to advertise in our area and it was not being advertised in the area. Had he been up front with us from the beginning, we would have not have hired him. Why would anyone hire a realtor who doesnt advertise in the homes immediate area? We immediately went with a local realtor. This was in mid August. Immediately (the first day) the house had showings; sometimes 2 or 3 in one day. Two weeks from the day we signed with the local realtor, we got an acceptable offer. The house has since sold at a very good and fair price.
