ZillowVERIFIED Jimmy was incredible to work. This is my third transaction with him and the fourth will be coming next month. Jimmys expertise just saved me six figures during the bidding process on my new family home and he was able to get us 150,000 over asking when we sold my dads home. Working with Jimmy is a no-brainer. Any future real estate transactions I have my definitely am not hesitating to call him. Trust is important!

ZillowVERIFIED James has been excellent throughout our time renting with him and continues to be very responsive and helpful. We are still renting with James, and he consistently assists us whenever any issues or questions come up. Communication has always been easy, and any problems are addressed quickly and professionally. Because of how smooth and positive the experience has been, we recently renewed our lease. His reliability and attentiveness have made the rental experience stress-free, and we truly appreciate how well everything has been handled.

ZillowVERIFIED James went above and beyond helping my find my new apartment! I found a listing on Zillow I wanted to tour, and after touring, he informed me of another property that I absolutely fell in love with and took the time to show me the apartment on the same day. He wants to help you find a home that is the right fit for you, and is unlike other brokers who are just trying to make a quick sale. He is easily reachable and the entire renting process was smooth. I cannot recommend James enough!

ZillowVERIFIED James did an outstanding job finding a rental unit for us. We were looking for a rental place in Arlington for 2 months before we met James. The situation was challenging, as we were moving from Europe to the U.S., so we were not able to personally visit rentals. James was extremely supportive, very responsive to our requests, and secured a very nice place for us at a premium location in East Arlington. He did a virtual tour for us, which is a thing now. The whole rental process went very smoothly with his help. He even reached out after we moved in to check if everything worked out as expected. I would highly recommend James for any realtor work. He really knows his stuff and is a very delightful person to work with. He absolutely deserves the 5 star rating.

ZillowVERIFIED James was recommended to us by a friend. We have used him for over ten years now for our rental properties and he has never disappointed us. Within a few days our properties are rented, background checks done and leases signed. He always follows up to make sure both we and the new tenants are pleased with each other. Anytime through the year that we might have a question he responds back within minutes, no matter where he is. We cant say enough about him and how professional and knowledgeable James is.

ZillowVERIFIED We highly recommend James (Jimmy) as a buyer and rental agent. He helped us identify our home needs and was honest about which properties were not suitable. We feel that he has a good understanding of the Boston real estate and helped us negotiate a fair price in this competitive market. Jimmy also found highly qualified tenants to rent our previous property which helped make our transition an easy process.

ZillowVERIFIED James Kousoulos is the real deal. All the 5 star reviews are on point! (We also checked out a few references privately, and they all had great things to say about him). We hired him to manage our single family home in Arlington, and it wouldnt have gone better so far. Being accidental landlords (we were moving, and didnt want to sell) we had a LOT of questions - Jimmy and his associate Kateryna were extremely patient, professional and transparent in their communications. He makes the time to talk to you in detail, no hurry, no pressure - just measured details and answers. Most of my communications with him now are via email - short, to the point and efficient - really the best you can ask when you have other things in life to attend to. From talking to him and our interactions so far, I get the sense that hes an all around great guy to talk to if you have any Real Estate needs - buying/selling/renting/property manager. If you are looking and comparing - call him, and call him last - youll see the difference. Update: We sold our home with Jimmy. He was awesome in handling the whole process right from helping us get the property ready (He has great contacts who do quality work at a good price!) to pricing, listing and closing - all remote! Again, his excellent communication, local knowledge and experience helped significantly.

ZillowVERIFIED My family and I were thrown into a chaotic situation, giving us weeks to find a new home. We called multiple agents and listings. The only one to quickly, and consistently reach out to us was James Kousoulos. He treated us with care and respect, and got us into a home we love as quick as could be. He has my thanks and heartfelt appreciation.

ZillowVERIFIED I am a young guy new to the boston area and new to renting places for the most part and had no idea what I was doing. After one property jerked me around and more or less did a bait and switch act, I was in a real pinch and my back was up against the wall to find a place. Jimmy stepped in and kicked butt for me. Got me into a place I was excited about at the price I was hoping for. Truly a stand up guy and very clearly a seasoned veteran in all of this.

ZillowVERIFIED We were in a hurry to find an apartment & move forward quickly. Once I found the location on Zillow I reached out to James immediately. He responded within the hour and we immediately scheduled a tour. He was able to get us a tour the next day and we were so interested in the property that we signed within the next day or two. He immediately got us the paperwork by the next morning, scheduled & organized the information to be inputted quickly and coordinated the questions I had for the Landlord. He was not pushy or salesy and was efficient in making sure the contract was correct and timely. Would recommend working with James!

ZillowVERIFIED I have known James since 2019 first as a broker for the apartment I rented and then as a property manager. He is best at both and more. Besides his thorough knowledge of the area and his consistent fast response he has a great personality and its just a pleasure to deal with him. Both admin processes and apartment maintenance issues always felt like a breeze with him. Even when it came the time to move on and leave Massachussetts his help was invaluable to ease the closing process. You are lucky if you end up working with him!

ZillowVERIFIED Looking for apartments in COVID ads an element of difficulty for tours and scheduling. James worked with us to schedule an in person tour. He answered all of our questions and coordinated the signing of our new apartment well and in a timely fashion. I had found the home online but once we contact him to see the listing- all the processes he handled went smoothly.

ZillowVERIFIED James was a huge help in getting an apartment that we really love. My friends and I were a little disorganized and took a few days to get our applications together so there was a lot of back and forth, and James was patient and communicative through all of it. He was honest about when another group put in another application but he recommended us to the landlord and ultimately helped us not only get the apartment but also at the reduced rent we had asked for. Big thanks to James and Shilalis.

ZillowVERIFIED I?m writing to recommend Jimmy Kousoulos as your real estate agent. We sold our multigenerational family home with lots of mixed emotions at every step in the process. With Jimmy?s guidance and calm reassurance we made it to our new home. Not only did he sell our house, he even helped us with our new home purchase. From arranging inspections, handling coordination of all the players and even checking in long after we were moved in, Jimmy was a friend throughout the experience.

ZillowVERIFIED James was very accommodating from the very beginning. I was living in San Francisco and trying to secure an apartment in my hometown of Arlington. He worked around my schedule and was available when I need him. He helped to negotiate a fair rental agreement based on my moving dates. He went the extra mile to drop off keys to aunts house as I was still in SF. Needless to say, I would highly recommend James.

ZillowVERIFIED Cant say enough about Jimmys professionalism and skill in this area. He helped me and my roommate find a beautiful 2.5 bedroom apartment in Belmont within our budget (in really a matter of 48 hours). He answered all our questions and showed us a lot of different local options in one morning, because he knew we were commuting in the city from out of town and couldnt keep taking off work to see places. I believe Jimmy tried to negotiate a lower rate for us, but we didnt have much leverage--We appreciate that he tried to get us a good deal!!

ZillowVERIFIED My wife and I moved to Massachusetts from out of state. We dealt with numerous other Realtors, trying to find someone who would be willing to work with us over FaceTime, so that we can see some apartments from so far away online. Most of them didnt want to bother with us, probably because they had to take the extra step to help us. But James jumped right in and helped us in every single way that he could. Once we found a rental unit that we liked, the approval process went smoothly, and he was fast to help us finalize all the paperwork. He is very knowledgeable in the process and I highly recommend him to anybody who is looking for a new place. Once we arrived, the apartment looks exactly like on the pictures. We found it clean, and everything in working order, and weve been enjoying our stay here very much.

ZillowVERIFIED We recently purchased a house with Jimmys help and we are happy to recommend him as a buyers agent. We knew Jimmy as he was the property manager of the condo that we were renting at the time. He is always very responsive and would fix the problem in the house straight away. As a buyers agent, he is never pushy and would always be ready to view the house with us or to prepare the documents as soon as he can. We are extremely happy with his efficiency. He is also very punctual which is something we like about him.

ZillowVERIFIED We were renting fully remote and couldnt go out to see the property in person. James accommodated us wonderfully, doing a video tour of the residence and putting us in contact with the prior tenants. He also negotiated the monthly rent down $100/month. I would fully recommend James.

ZillowVERIFIED I spent 3 years in a rented house managed by Jimmy -- he did a great job throughout. Very responsive, always happy to help and he clearly went above and beyond on several occasions, such as when a package unexpectedly arrived at the house during our vacation and he volunteered to go to the house and bring it inside. Highly recommended!

ZillowVERIFIED James has been my property manager for three years. He has been excellent. He is way more on the ball with getting tenants, servicing my property, collecting my rent, and renewing leases than I was, which is exactly what I want in a property manager, both for my sake and that of my tenants.

ZillowVERIFIED If you're looking to rent in the Watertown, Belmont, Cambridge areas, I cannot recommend James (Jimmy) Kousoulos enough. He works for Shilalis Real Estate and is by far the best real estate agent I have ever worked with in the 4 different states that I have lived. From the first moment we met him, all the way through the renting process, he was kind, respectful, courteous, accommodating, and went above and beyond what I have ever experienced with a realtor. He made the entire process as stress-free as possible, and continued to follow up after the lease was signed with little details that he thought would be helpful. We cannot wait to move into our new place, and cannot thank Jimmy enough for all his help. Now, everybody go rent from him!

ZillowVERIFIED James Kousoulos was a perfect agent, from setting up the home for viewing to answering all my questions accurately. He was always available, and when the first sale fell through, he scheduled additional open houses the same day. As I said before, he was also very helpful in dressing up the house to attract buyers, and despite a very severe winter, the house got sold at a great price. I made a great profit on the house.
