ZillowVERIFIEDWhere to startaEUR| 1. Failed to visit the home periodically to ensure its in good order while 30 people/agents were coming in and out. I had to tell him to visit the home to make sure nothing was amiss. He finally visited and said it was in good order. I subsequently had a neighbor send me pics noting many issues with the exterior including a shutter that fell off the home. Of course Jake wouldnt notice that. SMH 2. Promised responsiveness and failed almost immediately. I have clear documentation of promises at the outset and failures. 3. Jake claims we received an offer at asking price when this is not true considering the credit that was requested. Additionally we agreed to set a relatively low price and expecting more. The offer price is not his responsibility but communication and transparency is. 4. Upon meeting Jake, he was nice and pleasant. Yet upon reflection he was clearly more interested in finding a way to become successful personally instead of making a meaningful impact with my transaction. At the end of our engagement Jake told me my aEURoebest move is to rent the home for another year and wait for the price to increaseaEUR? that was his response to my inquiry about feedback from the 30 showings. He provided no feedback because he never followed up with the agents. This comment is also odd because Jake himself is not a real estate investor. He would like to be an investor. Ive been investing in real estate for more than 20 years. I am no expert, but I certainly dont need real estate advice from Jake. I simply wanted him to list the home and provide a high-level of communication. He failed to do that at every turn. Disengagement was the epitome of overpromising and under delivering. I realize this is common with real estate agents. However, this engagement may have been the worst Ive encountered.
