ZillowVERIFIED We had a great experience working with Jack. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area - neighborhoods, schools, builders, home inspectors, contractors, etc. Ask any question and Jack has the answer! We are new to the area and his expertise was really helpful throughout our house hunt. He is also extremely patient and quick to respond. He really took the time to get a feel for what we were looking for and tailor the search to us and our family. And there was no question too big or small and no response that took longer than an hour. Beyond his professional expertise, Jack is just a great guy and made us feel comfortable every step of the way. Can't recommend him enough!

ZillowVERIFIED Jack Gustafson is a total PRO. To start, he is a great person. Great family man with a wonderful family. Lots of respect there. He started in the real estate business a long time ago and work hard and diligently to build customers who believed in him, who trusted him. In the last 30 years, my wife and I have worked with Jack in buying/selling six houses in the Charlotte area. He has earned not just our respect, but deep trust and loyalty. Process Expertise/Negotiations.... He is a master. I can think of times he just worked things in a way we didn't understand, but then realized his expertise paid off for us big time! Trust him! You will be glad you did! Phenomenal local knowledge, great responsiveness. He is top of the top, and a great guy.

ZillowVERIFIED I have worked with Jack ever since I moved to Charlotte (25 years ago) and is the only real estate agent I would work with in the south Charlotte area. He provides great service and is truly an honest person. In addition, every contractor or mortgage broker or other industry related person that I speak with and knows Jack, says how great of a person he is and I would agree.

He also helped me navigate some tough situations with the purchase, like the unresponsive sellers and major issues found in the inspection. He also helped out my parents AND my brother with their own home purchases, so he's versatile to boot!

ZillowVERIFIED Jack is local and very familiar with the Charlotte area, especially with South Charlotte. He helped my sister's and I throughout the sale of our Mom's home after her passing. Since my sister's and I live either out of town and out of state Jack was extremely patient and kind through the process. He has a great team that will get your home ready for sale or find the home you want. I trust Jack Gustafson.

ZillowVERIFIED Jack is a consummate professional that I would highly recommend. Jack give direct advice based on his extensive experience. He has seen Charlotte grow from a backwater village to the thriving community it is today and that history matters. With Jack's help we were able to find the perfect property in a rising area and are already seeing neighborhood prices increasing.

ZillowVERIFIED Jack listed an estate property for me in 2009 that sold quickly. Since then, he has stayed in contact several times a year. When we were ready to list our home in spring 2020, we knew Jack had the experience, knowledge, and expertise to successfully guide us through the process. He did a walk through of our home, and gave us a number of honest, pre-listing recommendations, including exterior painting to improve curb appeal, staging (without a staging company), and crawl space/structural inspection. Structural repairs were required, so we were able to get those scheduled, permitted, completed, and the house painted, all in a timely manner prior to listing our home for sale, "on schedule." Jack is one of the best service providers with whom I have had the privilege of working with during my 40 year business career. His response to phone calls, email, and questions were always prompt. It was our pleasure to work with Jack through the entire process of selling our home.

ZillowVERIFIED i had lived in my neighborhood for 8 years and regularly saw Jack's name and face on "for sale" signs. i also would get regular mail from him with other home sales in the area and regional trend information. i knew he knew the area and the market so i chose him as my realtor. i first met him 9 months before i went up for sale to talk about the right time to sell and understand what i should and shouldn't do to get the house ready. he knew the market and knew the comps and several times when we would talk about a house, it was one that he has sold sometime in it's history. We hit the market right before COVID and only got 2 weeks of showings in before lockdown. Jack was a great voice of reason and calmness and he helped me set up showings by Facetime so that things kept moving forward. He provided great advice on negotiating - i probably would have dropped my number lower after the initial offer came in. Great realtor to have on your side. i am grateful for his help and expertise.

ZillowVERIFIED Jack was helpful from start to finish in what became a tricky process toward the end. We both Sold and Bought a Home with Jack as our Broker, and there was a lot of coordination through that process. We had our closing of Old home and closing of New home worked out very well, until the buyer of Old home had delays getting mortgage approval. This delayed Both Closings and could have created a lot of stress, but Jack's experience rallied through this and all worked out very well! We would recommend his Professional service for the South Charlotte area.Mike & Cathy

ZillowVERIFIED My wife and I were fortunate to be referred to Jack by a knowledgeable local real estate attorney when we were looking for a broker to help us sell our home in Barclay Downs. After an initial interview we chose to go with him because we liked his no-nonsense approach to the sale process and his experience in our neighborhood. It had been 13 years since we had last sold a house and the game had changed somewhat over that time period. Jack did a great job in all aspects of our sale process -- preparing the house to show, pricing it, timing placing it on the market, managing the process of showing it, handling the price and diligence negotiations, and, importantly, bringing to bear his extensive network of responsive craftsmen to handle the requested repairs in an efficient and economical manner and keeping that process from spiraling out of control. Particularly impressive to me was the fact that Jack pretty darn accurately predicted in advance how many showings we would have before we received an offer. That to me was a real confirmation of his experience and expertise. We had a great experience with Jack and would definitely recommend him to others.Matt J.Charlotte, NC

ZillowVERIFIED While dealing with a couple of difficult family members in order to sell inheritance property, Jack maintained a level of professionalism that went above and beyond the call at times. He also had to balance sellers living in 3 different states, but still made the process go as flawless as possible. We appreciated Jacks knowledge of the neighborhood and communication skills, as well as his expertise and ability to answer any questions that arose. Jack was very patient throughout the process and an overall pleasure to work with.

He has practical advice that makes the process go smoothly from end-to-end: preparation, listing, sale, and closing. Each time we have used him our experience has gone smoothly. Jack was on top of the process, always kept me informed, was very responsive, had great attention to detail, let me know what to expect at each step, knew my neighborhood, did thorough research on comps, had some great suggestions for things I should do to sell the house, set me up with some contractors, and everything seemed to go as he predicted. In addition, Jack has a good sense of humor and always seemed to have a way to calm the situation and let me know that there were solutions for whatever might come up. Everything went better than I expected and I am 100% satisfied with the job Jack did. I highly recommend.

ZillowVERIFIED While I live in Florida, I needed to sell my sister's house in Charlotte. Jack Gustafsonwas recommended by my sister's neighbor. Within a short period of time a buyerwas found and while I was in Florida, via phone calls, and e-mails, an agreement between the buyer and myself was agreed upon. Jack arranged for the documents to be signed in Florida without the need for another visit to Charlotte. Throughout the whole process, I was very pleased with the professional way that everything was done by Jack.. He made what was a difficult and complicated sale a much easier closing.Herb Koch
