ZillowVERIFIED I wanted to take some time to provide a customer review of Iris Benozilio. It is not hyperbolic to state that Iris is a phenomenal agent. My home purchase journey was a long and arduous one which started earlier this year with a different agent and different lender. When I realized that I needed to be able to make cash offers in order to compete in the incredibly fierce home purchase market in south Florida, I decided to pursue Better's Cash Offer Program and fortunately for me, I was matched with Iris. From our initial conversation, Iris was sharp and knowledgeable. She described how hard she would work to get me into a home I loved and boy, did she do so in the three and a half months it took to get to that goal. Iris rose early and worked late-- many times until 10p, 11p at night-- searching for homes for me, gathering information, advocating on my behalf and driving to countless home showings. She even drove in a tropical storm because she did not want to cancel a scheduled appointment. While I sat in the comfort of my home in northern Virginia, she travailed the rain and wind so that I could see that home virtually. Her dedication is matchless. When an unscrupulous seller with whom I had entered into a purchase and sale contract made material misrepresentations and then made a claim on my $20,000 deposit, Iris went to bat for me. She advocated for me with the seller's agent as well as internally within her real estate brokerage, providing me with contact information for company employees in order to escalate the matter, doing research on the matter and following up to keep the issue fresh with all stakeholders. If it were not for her, I would not have been able to have the appropriate folks at the company give the matter the attention I believe it warranted and would not have had the timely resolution I did. After nine offers and being under contract with three other homes, I finally found my current home. As we moved towards closing, Iris went above and beyond to get us to closing as scheduled. She personally called the county where the property was and in a few minutes, was able to convince the county representative to provide the settlement company with a document needed to close that we had been waiting on for nearly two weeks and which the party that the settlement company hired to obtain title documents had been unable to obtain. When it became apparent on the day of closing that the wire would not be received by the seller that day, knowing that I had an impending out of state trip that necessitated that I be in the home as soon as possible, Iris spoke to the seller's agent and convinced them to allow me possession of the home on the closing day after the documents had been signed and the wire initiated. Iris' exceptional service did not end after the T1 and T2 closings. Realizing that the settlement company had not cleared the water bill on the property and that a bill was still outstanding which did not allow me to open a new account for water services, Iris alerted the buyer and numerous folks at the settlement company to quickly address and resolve the issue. Iris has provided me with helpful connections related to my home, has sent helpful links about home improvements and has offered advice on home maintenance. I have worked with many realtors in my years both as a homeowner and renter and I have never encountered a person as deeply caring about, and dedicated to, her clients as Iris. Iris has surpassed all of my expectations as it relates to the service a real estate agent provides. She truly is incredible.
